37 years. Thats how long I've waited to see how this show ended. I saw most of it on its original airing, but my parents made me leave to finish homework. Little by little, I'm catching up on every single nickel and dime show that I ever missed or had to skip. I WILL find them all.

"The House with a Clock in its Walls" - one of the scariest books I ever read, a cherished childhood memory - reduced to a weirdly campy hodge-podge. Still, I have wanted to see this ever since I read the local "TV Guide" listing way back in 1979, and turned on the TV just as it was ending - I never got to see the whole thing. Now I have. So, thank you for posting!

Spooky Brucey This IS listed on imdb as the "CBS Library" episode "Once Upon a Midnight Dreary." Won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Anthology. When it was issued on video, it was retitled "Vincent Price's Once Upon a Midnight Scary." I can only presume they switched the name cuz they didn't want to folks to confuse it with "The Raven."

So are we taking bets on the Jack Black\Eli Roth version of The House With A Clock In Its Walls? I'm not terribly optimistic, but it HAS to be better than this version... right?
@scottsutherland20316 жыл бұрын
James The Librarian The only thing that gives me hope is that Spielberg is indirectly attached... Jack Black is okay, Cate Blanchett is talented but too young, and the kid is nothing like Lewis, physically, in the book. Throw in some CGI monster behind a door and... Well, I’ve been waiting for a feature film of this since reading the book in ‘78 and watching it on TV in ‘79. Fingers crossed.
