Good stuff man, I'm now convinced Dashy is the dashboard I want to run! With the amount of options I wasn't able to choose ;) Great video

I’ve found that Docker and Portainer run very nicely in LXC with nesting enabled. It’s a little ironic but it works.

Agree. I personally using VM for them - reason ? In Proxmox cluster if i want to migrate LXC container from node-1 to node-2, proxmox will shut it down, migrate and start again. During that time docker and all containers will go offline - i can't have that. With VMs - migration happens "live". VM and all containers inside still works fine while Proxmox makes migration to happen.

By environment variables, dashy runs in the container on Port 8080, not 80 !

I can see how I can cofigure and load aVM using an IP:Port number. What about if I want to load a windows VM. How would I configure Dashy to load the VM. Thank you.

Looks like the ADL wrote the "code of conduct" for the icons. Deleted.

I have no idea how widgets work for this. I tried adding a simple clock to my yaml from their documentation but it did not work. I would really appreciate some help in this.

open dashy conf.yml file. Navigate to the line where you see "sections:" add same lines with indentations as you can see in a screengrab: imgur.com/a/viPvy6v This will add a clock. Mine set to UK time. save it and reload dashy dashboard - new config file should be picked up. MAKE SURE you have conf.yml file backup just in case!

Way too much hassle for a simple dashboard I use Homarr for simple easy quick config and setup

I agree. It's not for everyone. And not everyone likes Homarr dashboard.

I tried homarr, but if you want easy then Heimdall is the way to go. Dashy if for those who want it all.
