I enjoyed the new perspective very much, and I'm not bothered about having your right arm in the way :) You made good choices with the new setup, and you chose the right set up to show off this puzzle well. Good job, Mr puzzle! Two things to consider maybe? Please consider a different background colour. A grey background against a grey puzzle really made it hard for me (I don't have the best sight in the world) to see what was going on. Your audio descriptions are very clear tho, top notch. When you turn your head away from the mike, the audio drops considerably. This can probably be corrected with a slight adjustment to your new set up tho Thank you for all the videos and for reading!

Actually, for as complex as it is, I was able to follow exactly what you were doing pretty well--great job! When i first looked at it, I thought the solution would be to just do everything on the left and right--mirror-imaging each move. I don't think it would have occurred to me for a long time to use the same side to remove both parts.

Nicely done and as clear as it could possibly be with so many levels and parts. I have a set of these tavern puzzles, but thankfully not this one. However, it strikes me that you could simply remove one leg of the bottom assembly. This would not allow the removal of the assembly at the end, but the ring could still be removed by sliding it along one leg of the bottom assembly and over the center section to the leg that was removed. (I read this several times and can't make it any more clear...:). Bottom line: if you can release just one leg of the bottom assembly, can't you get the ring off? If correct, it might be simpler to understand. Oh, yeah, and I think you should do a video on the "Patience" puzzle from the same company.....:)

Great puzzle, I liked it. You changed the music! Getting pretty jiggy with it! On the initial move you moved the ring from the bottom to the top. You could have turned the puzzle upside down since it's symmetric. I could follow your moves easily enough, but how about this idea --- what if you used some colored tape on various pieces so others can follow along and differentiate one part from another? Thank you for the video

Hello I watched many puzzles by you and many are very hard looking. I do not own any that I watched you do. However I do own 14 or so tavern puzzles. They are my favorite type. My favorite of all them is double bypass, as that was my very first puzzle. The last one I purchased was Freedom's Ring. That is one heck of a puzzle and is my true favorite, but I rarely play with that one because it has special meaning for me. I'm just commenting because I'd like to see more of these.

It would help greatly if you could please put some masking tape around the 2 identical pieces holding the very bottom link (these comprised the section that you removed first, before finally wiggling the target ring free off the bottom). It was a little hard to visually track and differentiate that first section from the rest of the hanging links.

Nice angle, I have a suggestion for these kinds of puzzles that I think would get a better visualization element of the solition. How about putting color on each layer? Color coding might make it look less messy? Puzzle Purists might say that it would ruin the puzzle, then again a puzzle purist looking at youtube for solutions isn’t really a purist 😬 Just an idea.. keep up the good work.

This is a variation on an old puzzle. In the 1960's, my uncle found an old puzzle in an abandoned cabin located miles from anywhere in the Rocky Mountains. It was different from this puzzle, but the method to solve it is actually the same. The things you called 'dog bones' were made of large nails on his. His had 8 dog bones not 3, but each dog bone only had one loop not two. The loop held a round ring just like your puzzle. There was a long oval, or oblong loop of thick steel wire, like the two on your puzzle, but my uncle's had only one of them. My uncle's puzzle had a part that yours didn't, it was a piece of 1/2" wide x 9" long x 1/8" thick flat steel. It had 8 holes drilled through it that were spaced 1/2" apart. Each hole had one of the nails through it. The head of each nail kept the steel bar from coming off one way, and the loop with a ring kept it from coming off the other way. To sum up the description of the puzzle my uncle found, there was the 9" long bar with a nail sticking through a hole in it every 1/2", and each nail had a bent loop at the end which wrapped around a steel ring. The last piece was the long oblong loop of thick steel wire. The object of the puzzle was to remove the oblong loop. Your puzzle had only 3 dog bones, so there are too few to really see the pattern of movements required to get the loop off. You must drop one dog bone at a time from the oblong loop, and the dog bone to be dropped is the one at the end opposite of the rings that you can manipulate. You get one dog bone dropped, then you have to put all the others back on in order to be able to drop the second one. It is a sort of binary equation. Once you know the process it is more like knitting than puzzle solving. You just have to keep doing the same movements over, and over, until you are done.
