Bleed Lacerate gladiator is pretty good for early game, but it scales horribly into endgame. Being a melee skill: most of your damage comes from your axe. Jack the axe is cheap and incredibly cost effective. However if you want a replacement you’ll need to be prepared to drop like 35 divs on it for even a minor (~20%) damage boost. Sources of damage over time multiplier are pretty hard to come by, and attack speed can only get you so far (eventually it won’t matter much if you apply 8 bleeds in 4 seconds or 3.5). You can get pretty tanky with the gladiator ascendancy as well. But you’ll need it with how long bosses will take to kill. All in all its a great leaguestarter. But you’ll probably want to reroll as you reach the endgame (Which I consider to be a completed atlas)

nah dude, attack speed on bleed build is incredibly efficient, it's always your best bleed that activates, the more atk spd you got, the higher chance you got bigger rolls on your bleed therefore increase your actual dps. This is why ryslatha is often used alongside volatility support, because it increase your peak which is the only thing important. Bleed requires a few uniques which are a bit hard to aquire early game but at that point is incredibly cheap, get ralakesh, olesyah, usurper and a good timeless jewel and you're good to go. however, glad sucks, go champion, it's just better.

Hey man, I've been trying to make a cheap version work, but even though I got a 10 divine version to be pretty good it's nothing special, so I won't do a video unless I find something really good. The thing is that Jack, the axe has very low attackpeed and switching axe requires either gravecraftig or buying a 20div + axe to be able to beat jack in DPS. 10 divines is really good currency to invest into survivability for the build, like this version I tried: pobb.in/3lhGVNDSIJoK People make this build really work out with ludicrous amount of currency on the axe, Masterful form jewels and Frenzy rings/Shield. I'm really looking forward to someone who knows a lot about lacerate to bless us with a cheap and effective version, so far I tried 3 versions up to 20 divines and none have impressed me with survivability or damage. All versions suffered in T17/Maven/and hard content. Ralakesh makes the build too slow, if you like farrul's route it makes it too squishy without the Masterful form jewels. If you want to play lacerate because you really like the skill that version will be very laid back and satisfying, but for me I'm still working to see if I can find something better within that range of currency (10-20div).

Started my PoE journey with, well, a Lacerate Gladiator, cause the skill just looks freaking cool 😂 Found out later that both the skill and the ascendancy are so off-meta & way weaker than other skills/classes. But I still love it as it was my first build ever. Hope one day GGG would giga buff them to the glory they deserve, then I can enjoy the cool bleed gladiator again. Thanks for your video!

how about doing a series late into league where you take your 1div builds and show the best upgrades for them with like 10div budget or more, it could show the new players how they can progress when they get more currency. Love the content :)

Can do that :) I see people are very interested on it. For this version of the build and my last one I have a section on PoB with worthwhile investments up to 10 divines + a hall of fame with a couple characters with different versions of the build from poeninja so you can guide yourself. I was never planning on these 1 Divine builds to be build guides, just showcases, but I see that people really want to upgrade these low-budget versions, so whenever I can I'll work on that :D

Hey there! Glad changed a lot so I can't tell you I'm all knowing and it will work, but I do believe Glad looks very promissing. We'll lose a couple things like the Challenger charges and around 40% more damage from a couple notables in the ascendancy but to make up for that now glad can reach 100% more damage if he's fighting something for 100 seconds and 30% more damage against low life while wielding an axe. Overall I believe you'll get much more single target ramping damage. Just don't grab Jagged Technique as it doesn't seem to combo with Crimson Dance and remove the totems from the build. I'd get War of attrition first lab, Gratuitous Violence, Weapon Master and then Determined Surivor. if you want you could grab Gratuitous Violence first lab and get the explode against bleeding enemies, but now that node doesn't grant 50% chance to bleed so in that case you need more investment from the tree. I'll take a better look at the patch notes and everything but I think the endgame versions were hit the most as we lost the frenzy charge and free frenzy so It's a bit of a nerf for the frenzy stacker endgame version. Lacerate lost the flat phys (109 to 164 flat gone from lv 20 skill) but instead it jumped from 120% to 346% effectiveness of added damage and that is what we still need to figure out in the build like where is our added damage coming from as now it's two times more important. I think that's it, any more doubts just comment it up! :D

I think it's nit picking. Plus he showed the footage - not like he's hiding anything. The cost is how much it cost him to gear up his character, which is accurate. Let's say he had 81 divs, spent 80 on progenesis, 1 on build, then sold the progenesis for 80. The net cost of the build is still calculated to be 1 div. The same is true by using gear from another character, then removing it from the final 1 div build. I get what you mean - clearing the level 83 beast encounter for the craft isn't super easy. But I don't think it's fair to say he lost his integrity by doing that.

Will do when patch comes out. But Glad went through a lot of changes so I can't possibly know for certain the best approach now. I'll list here things to keep in mind: Gratuitous Violence: No longer behind Blood in the eyes so you can bloodexplode from first lab if you want. But we lost 20% More damage (that sucks a lot) No Blood in the eyes! We lost the 50% chance to bleed so that's a problem now, but not that hard to work around since it was very easy to overcap bleeding, it will just take more effort now instead of being a guarantee with ascendancy + skill + a couple points in the tree. No free maim, no free 10% inc damage against maim. Instead of 50% bleed chance the ascendancy small points going to Jagged techniche have 15% each so 30%. We lost arena challenger (the best thing Gladiator had in his kit, so I'm very sad with these news) (that's -20% movement speed on a class that's already quite slow T.T ) We lost Outmatch and Outlast and with that the free Frenzy charge generation so frenzy stacker version is much harder now maybe requiring a Farrul or something similar. New Ascendancy notables: War of Attrition seems busted, Lacerate was never too overpowered against bosses but now it's crazy to thinK that Glad could possibly reach 100% more damage, I think that's busted and Gladiator will probably be the best class for the league but people will not play dot as you will reach cap too easily and probably Frost blades or something similar can work very well. Of course reaching 100% more damage is hard but if you take 5 minutes to kill Maven on average you'll hit the cap on a little earlier than 2 minutes, I'm really praying for this ascendancy notable to be as good as I'm imagining it. Weapon Master: Very cool notable, 30% More damage against low life is very good but conditional, will work very well with Jack the axe, they talked about Verunastra on the livestream but I believe Veru will be trash, I mean all the passives from this are good but Verunastra will only shine if they decide to buff it as I wouldn't want to loose that much DPS just to get a couple of small bonuses. I believe Jack the axe will work very well with that. This is what I could writte about what was shown from the announcement. Keep in mind I'm just speculating and things might not be just sunshine and rainbows as it's looking so far... Anyway, when league's launched and we're playing I'll see what I can come up with and if I can make a video for a build guide. Have a good one, Exile :)

​@@MrReward98also, the block nodes glad got with versatile combatant gets you 90/90% block chance. Mix in eviscerate for a massive bleed (almost 700% on lvl 1)
