At times it was a bit ridiculous and pretentious, sounded like he just read a thesaurus. Having a good vocabulary does not mean using 'high-level' words every 5 seconds, that just makes your argument convoluted and verbose.

Mr salles i know this is very late but can u read my essay on how sheila is presented throughout the play and give an honest grade so i can improve In J.B. Priestleys play,An Inspectors Calls,Sheila Birling is presented as a dynamic and complex character who undergoes significant development as the play unfolds. Her mannerisms and language replicates that of a young child which is ironic seeming as Sheila is 'in her early twenties'. These characteristics are demonstrated through the use of the pronouns 'Mummy' and 'Daddy' as well as the adjective 'excited'.Her journey from naivety to social awareness is central to the plays themes of responsibility and morality. At the beginning of the play,Sheila is depicted as a young and typical woman of her social class being described as naive and somewhat self -centred as in act 1 she says ‘I've been so happy tonight’.She views Eva's suicide as an inconvenience to her and that she has ruined her happy evening. This shows that Sheila is so immature that she cannot show empathy towards anyone. She is also introduced as excited about her engagement to Gerald and is more concerned with superficial pleasure, like the engagement ring than any serious matter when she says ‘Oh its its wonderful!Look mummy, isn't it beautiful? She is also reliant on Gerald for her decisions. This emphasises that Sheila tends to act as a submissive girl who cannot form her own opinions which back then in the era that Priestley set it in,women were expected to support their husbands, but never necessarily by offering their own opinions or views. When the inspector arrives and begins questioning about Eva Smith's death,Sheilas initial reaction is shocked and begins to deviate from her father and fiances opinions. As she learns own role in eva's downfall by getting her fired from Milwards out of jealousy ,she begins to feel deep remorse. This marks the beginning of her moral awakening .Upon realising her part in eva's suffering, sheila admits ‘and if i could help her now i would ‘shows her immediate regret and a growing sense of responsibility.Sheila is demonstrating the ability to show sympathy towards Eva, something which she previously wouldn't do. This would provoke the audience to become slightly less weary of Sheila as she is now showing empathy As the inspector's questioning continues, sheila becomes more introspective.Unlike her parents, who are defensive and dismissive, sheila is willing to accept responsibility for her actions. She starts to see the broader implications(far reaching consequences)of their collective behaviour and becomes the moral conscience of the play.Sheila challenges her family's attitudes by portraying one of priestley's views saying ‘but these girls aren't cheap labour-they're people.’ This statement reflects her evolving understanding of social injustice and humanity of the working class by beginning to form socialist views and disagreeing with her father.this additionally brings conflict particularly to her parents, who still remain largely unrepentant and is annoyed by her family's refusal to change. By the end of the play, she is presented as a fundamentally changed character who has moved from a naive girl to a mature woman who understands the importance of social responsibility. She is determined not to forget the lessons she has learned. In the final act sheila says ‘I remember what he said, how he looked and how he made me feel.Fire and blood and anguish.’This syndetic listing shows that the inspectors message has left a lasting impact on her, unlike her parents who are eager to dismiss it.Priestley uses sheila to represent the possibility of change and growth, particularly in the younger generation and to critique complacency and moral blindness of the older generation.Through sheila ,Priestley emphasises the need of empathy, accountability and commitment to social justice.

If the vocab is relevant to the content such as "proletariate" i believe the examiner will be more convinced by your response, therefore playing you in a higher level where you can achieve more marks. I'm not entirely sure tho so take my words with a pinch of salt.
