My Italian mom has an amusing story while she was doing charity work in the Philippines. To prove that all Filipinos can sing, she was asked by a local teacher to pick any student at random. My mom picked three kids walking along the corridor (2 girls, 1 boy). The teacher asked them to sing any song of their choice in front of my mom. After some practice humming the three kids, who didn't know each other, sang a beautiful hymn complete with alternating tenor and soprano voices. My mom, a trained opera singer, was completely speechless. She was floored😃

RM of BTS once said that "in the Philippines, you don't have to sing for them, they will sing for you." It's often a joke that Filipinos would pay to go to a concert, not to watch the artist, but to sing for the artist. 😂 Kidding aside though, I have been smiling while watchinh the whole video. Filipinos love to sing anytime, anywhere. In school, in church, at home, during a timeout at a sporting event, at work, on the street, literally anywhere. It's our simple, inexpensive way to express and entertain ourselves.

I am Filipino, and I grew up in a house where music played from the stereo from morning until night. It was only turned off when we watched TV. As a child, that kind of environment became normal for me until I became an adult. That’s why, with music playing daily and so often from the stereo, almost every song sounds familiar and is easy to sing in case I need to.
@georgia-zw9fq3 ай бұрын
Same experience. When I was 7 years old and our family moved next door to my grandparents and uncles in the early 60's, I was introduced to the music of that era which I came to love and know by heart because my uncles loved to play those songs for hours on their stereo, either early in the morning on weekends when I would wake up to the sound of the Cascades' Rythm of the Falling Rain or The Last Leaf or during the late afternoons or early evenings before dinner sitting at their sala listening to the songs of Patti Cline and Connie Francis. Those were the happiest and most unforgettable moments of my childhood that influenced my appreciation for music as part of my life to this day.

18:01 song is a foreign singers who sung the music "stand by me" however Filipinos sing with them in the a Filipino "Banyo Queen" tune sung by Filipino artist Andrew E. Banyo Queen means Closet queen.

18:18 the artists were singing their own song, and the crowd instead sang a filipino ver/cover of that song. that's why the band was confused and entertained at the same time because the crowd was singing the same song, just with a different set of lyrics 😂

Bruno was such a sensation here, from the north to the south you could hear his music alll over the radios, the kareokes, jeeps and all that, his songs are beautiful and basically what a generation listened to and still do.

Those two videos about the Cowboy and the one next to it. Filipinos made their own cover of it, thats why theyre laughing because the lyrics theyre singing is actually funny. And the Banyo Queen is a tagalog rap song by ANdrew E. thats why he's asking " what are u singing, but i like it" hahahaha And yes Filipinos has the best crowd I couldnt even pick a favorite clip I guess the Olivia Rodrigo ones... coz its recent. and the Cold Play and Zed. :) but dammmmnnn all of these gave me goosebumps ngl..

I’m a Filipino. I can attest that Filipino are crazy talented with the arts-singing and dancing. I missed out on the gene pool. The ones like me became the healers of the world as nurses as the number 1 Philippine export.

I believe for the Banyo Queen, like the singer Andrew E. known singer, comedian and actor, made a rendition for the song “Stand by me” but changed the lyrics to “Lumalabas, Banyo Queen” in English translation “Coming out, Bathroom Queen” cause it was for a movie from the same name “Banyo Queen.” I also believe it’s a comedy movie. If that helps.
