Remi, your taste is impeccable! What an assemblage of talent! Much of this group resembles the brilliant 1990-touring group which ,(excellently) played Dave Holland's composition shadow dance; the only musician missing this time round is Pat Metheny. The combination of Herbie with Jack is particularly shape and -- dare I say it? -- stunning!

I wish they played the melody more like Donald Byrd's band. This is like a different song even if it has the same changes, like a contrafact. Also wish Herbie would have stuck to a melody them a bit before he starting that frantic solo. But this was in the middle of a concert where they were picking up heat, I was hoping for something chiller
