I love it when you say, " Oh you are so smart. Kiss your brain." And you actually kiss your fingers and put your fingers on your brain.

I like the ‘Hmmm…’ to encourage thinking about a child’s work. Much more positive. Great video!

The students praising other students is so wholesome 🥹

I love the thinking "hmmm" to indicate mistakes when a student is at the board. Such a great, positive approach. My favorite callbacks: Turtles in the half shell-->turtle power Hear ye hear ye--> the queen is about to speak I also just do random actions (hands on head, wiggling fingers, jumping) quietly until everyone notices.💫

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this! This was sooooo helpful! And thank you for letting me use your; “my turn - your turn” call back….. I love all of your call backs and how you teach your kiddos period - I love how you get so excited with them - yet serious when you need to be…… ☺️

It's not mine just passing it on! All teachers should use it though it is WONDERFUL! Thanks for watching!!

💫 I always said I should write a book how littles and puppies are basically the same. 😂 My favorite call and response( but love them all) is “my turn/your turn”. Thanks for sharing!!!!

They are so similar 😂😂😂😂 I was afraid someone might say something about me noting that....but it's true haha

Love, Love, Love this video! I have noticed in your videos how engaged your students are, and I appreciate you sitting with us to give such amazing guidance. I started using 'My turn' about a month ago and it is a game changer. I use it also when I want everyone to focus on another student or adult visitor by saying "(name)'s turn!" My students respond immediately and fantastically to this simple call-back. Thank you for all of your amazing vlogs, Mayleen... you've changed my teaching life for the better in so many ways!

We only have 4 1/2 days left this school year. I will be using some of these next year. I am loving your videos! I really like the “good for..” in praising students.

Mayleen, you get me excited to teach! This is a such a helpful video. I had noticed that you had your kids repeat after you a lot, and I started using that several months ago. Definitely helps students participate. Love the "my turn/your turn".

I've been binging so many teacher videos in anticipation of starting my teaching credentials program this fall! I've been using similar callbacks and engagement techniques in my last 5 years doing MS and HS church youth ministry. I'm hoping to teach upper elementary but it's great seeing how these can be used in the lower grades!

I've been catching up on all your videos - and I loved this one! 😊 Quick question: Is there one place I can go to see or watch a list of all of your call-backs and responses? I'd love to implement these in my class this year!

Loved this video! It was so helpful. I want to include callbacks more this year. I appreciate all the sharing you do for fellow teachers. The best learning comes from other teachers. Side note: where did you get your water bottle? I like the bottle carrier. I can always use extra hand space when carrying all the things. Lol 😂

I enjoy the video. However, proper credit should be given to Mr. Roger from The Rogers in Motion for the callback "My turn, your turn, when is my turn your voices are off..." since you're using his words and gestures.
