@@MrsCallsCampers A teacher/lifestyle q&a with Kenzie! Or a game of "who is most likely to..."

We are Muslim and celebrate Ramadan and Eid. My son goes to a school where not many kids celebrate our holidays. He felt so happy to share information about his holiday with his class. So much time is spent teaching holidays we don't celebrate so it's nice when someone takes time on other peoples cultures and religions.

This was such a helpful vlog. Kenzie's advice about focusing on one subject each year was mind blowing! I'm a first year teacher and that to me was GOLD!!! Thank you for this useful vlog, I loved it!

Y’all are adorable! I highly recommend making all your lessons into a PowerPoint and/or Google slides. It definitely keeps you organized and know what has to be covered for the day. Also, when you’re absent it makes it so easy for your sub to just follow the slides. Plus, you always have a student who can lead the slides or help. I will say it takes time but it’s totally worth it! Positive thing: you will always have them making it easy to tweak for years after.

Oh my god stop, I had watched one of your videos 3 years ago called “classroom set up day 1” and even commented on it saying I love it. Today you came up on my for you page and Im sooo exited because watching that video 3 years ago made me want to be a school counselor… as of right now I’m on my second year of college to be a counselor ❤️🥺

Love this! I'm a third year teacher too, and still my biggest mistake is one of the first things you both discussed- I wanted to excel at every subject and ended up feeling completely overwhelmed. I decided a couple months ago that I'd either quit in the middle of year (from being so exhausted) or that I'd change my teaching. I decided to change the way I taught subjects- I'd focus on math and making sure the kids get the best of math this year- I feel soooo much better. Great advice throughout the video, thank u both! 😄

Yessss math is just. For me, math has always been difficult. Teaching it has been an uphill battle! Thankfully we use Eureka, and Eureka is great on taking things step by step. I've been learning so much since I started teaching math. So much about place value that I didn't understand until I started teaching. Other methods of adding/subtracting that I wasn't aware of or don't remember learning it that way when I was younger.
@MrsCallsCampers3 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen much from Eureka! But yes I totally agree with you

Thank you soooo much for making this video!!! I have no one to plan with so I finally felt like I had a team…. The thank you letters and poinsettias are an awesome idea and the books look very interesting… When will you guys be planning again? I can’t wait to plan with you all again… Have a wonderful week back….. ❤️

How fun!!! I can tell how much fun you both had, and I so wish I had a teaching partner to plan with. The video gave me an idea though... you don't necessarily need to plan with your grade level partner. Just hanging out thinking through the lessons would be fun and helpful with any colleague. Thanks for sharing, both of you!!!

My daughter is a PreK teacher. She is doing gingerbread for next week. I watched her make gingerbread homemade play dough today for her students to use for different activities next week. I teach 5th grade math. My students would love it if I brought out homemade playdough for them to use!

Loved the video so much! How do you incorporate the 5 books you chose for the week your doing a “grateful/thankful” theme. How do you do this with having a story a week you focus on from primary scouts. I am a kindergarten teacher, and I really love teaching ELA, but I always feel like there’s not enough time for everything.
@MrsCallsCampers3 жыл бұрын
I'm not doing my usual one book per week this next week! I'll pull activities from her for Thank You Omu and Share Some Kindness Spread Some Light but not everything! 💛 it will just be one activity for each thing! Not sure if I'll make anchor charts for both yet...we will see!
