“I want to talk to him today. Every day.” It has to be tough getting through to him that Josh is a grown man with his own, very busy, life. This is a perfect example as to why they had to take Ed’s phone away. He would constantly be calling Josh & Mark all day long. I imagine that having three young children & both parents working full time jobs, is very time consuming, leaving no time to explain over & over to your dad that you are an adult with your own home, income & family. Plus he always says that 3 kids is a lot for Josh at 40 years old…Ed had 5 kids when he was only 35 years old. It really has to be so frustrating to try to get Ed to understand.

Danielle, you do an AMAZING job taking care of Ed. It must be so challenging at times, but you handle it like a champ. Good afternoon, Danielle and family, and you are the epitome of patience with Grandpa Ed and with all my recent bouts of partial memory loss lately and searching for words sometimes and my waiting on a neurological evaluation appointment right now, i’m not as old as he is, but I get frustrated as well, and my wife has the same patience that you do… He just didn’t remember every time you told him how many kids Josh has, but not gonna lie, I laughed out loud when he said about the kids “but none of those are his” 😂; the frustration of not remembering things plus his hearing loss definitely are a frustrating combination for him, but Thank God he and the rest of the family have you to keep it all together every day, Danielle 👩🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sometimes I wish there was a family tree, with photos for him to look at, with names. Not for the public to look at keep it private. Just something simple you could hand him. Even a " snapfish" hard bound book. I think screens would be difficult for Ed to ponder over. It would be some work. And it would still be constantly still giving him direct answers, that confound his brain. You all are so patient.

Does a scrapbook with pictures and details he can look at and read not help with some of his questions. The picture book on the dining table handy for him would also bring him consistency and joy. He can see the people he loves and cares about. Also pictures of happy memories through his life would possibly help with positive rerouting. Like pictures with Bill. Have him repeat happy times stories. Other pics like Josh with his family smiling in front of their house would help him see they are ok and doing well.

My parents kinda had that 1, then 1 about 1 1/2 years later, then me 4 1/2 years after that. I was supposed to be it, but then one of those whoooops babies came about 6-7 years after me.😅 Lot of whoooops babies in the world I bet. My parents found out, I believe, about a week AFTER the vasectomy. 😅😅😅 Hope you are well Danielle. Take Care/Stay Safe ✌
