I have never fed the watertower I just used a pump to run the whole system, the electric pump needs the blue connection so you was right in getting the fuel driven version, if you had the water pressure enabled you would see how much water was in the tower how much pressure and the length of your pipes then it's a whole new ball game as the river will dry up in summer and I expect freeze in winter, I judt found out you can fast travel your pickup and what ever you are towing by sitting in pickup and fast travel thst you purchased someone else did mention about drilling but it is all around average gold maybe 1 or 2 slots have less, I was on the nighthawk parcel, and doing a quarry like you but only getting 40-300g of gold per bucket after a full clean up, then I got the drill and found that the outside was rubbish, but found a 340g nugget when I dug out the right dark orange squares,yes you are right the PC version has a real time or faster time setting helpers don't actually drive machines they do enhance them and like another person did comment they will auto swap mats at level 3, what I can gather is you do a parcel then move your whole rig to the next and so on I maybe wrong, oh you do have a gift for entertaining use veiwes it's in your voice and humerus 😃

You can unlock the fast transport for $20k (think you already did in Ep1 for a 1$) and then goto each sign post to learn the location, if you need the pickup be driving it at the time, transport yourself + pickup + trailer. You need the pickup to take a trailer but you will have to hitch up again, also don't leave stuff on the pad otherwise you have to run all the way from the nearest point that is clear. Also you are not renting the parcel as you purchased it for 1$ but others will have to give 30% of gold dug up (not the nuggets they are exempt) each day till you buy it. If you have no gold then it will take cash or sell off kit at a loss to get their money. You can also rent a machine and when sending it back at the sell point take all the (spare) parts off.

Since Old Arnold parcel has the lowest gold rating of all the parcels, don't upgrade anything. Just save for the next plot and buy it. then upgrade there. I look forward to see you doing the move. :)

Not sure if anyone has told you that machines are most expensive during the summer and cheapest during the winter. So the prices increase from winter to summer then decreases from summer to winter

The tablet is significantly more expensive than the store. For small parts its not so much an issue but once you start buying machinery its better to go to the yard.

I would suggest to save and buy out the next claim. That way you don't have the daily cost t to the owner. Also once set up there I would suggest to go from tier 3 to tier 5. I personally did not see such an improvement in gold out put from 3 to 4. Also certain machines at tier 5 do not break down for instance the trommel.

How to tell how much you’ve played a game on PS5 (does not apply to PS4)… Go to quick access (short tap on PS button), scroll to your user icon (next to power), select Profile, select Games… which tells you the (scarey) numbers you’ve spent on each game “e.g. Farming Simulator Total play hours: 4729”. These numbers also include time you played the same games on PS4, even though you can’t see the numbers when on a PS4

Keep using your tier 3 set up and save your money for winter (since the prices drop) or save your gold for selling after winter (price of gold apparently goes up a bit at the start of spring) but no matter what you do, don’t both mining in the winter! Just pack your machines away and your equipment and head to the hotel to end the season

The water tower has enough head pressure you don’t need a pump. Just connect directly to the wash plant.

Before you start splashing cash around upgrading the wash plant dont forget that at one point you might also want to move to another claim. The next one is 1.2 million if I recall correctly. And you need to unlock more slots for big machines. I currently need a large excacator and a dump truck and the water tower and I am done with the necessary equipment. Then I want to save up and buy the 2nd claim. If Old Arthur's still produces gold I stay until it fully dried up. What you could do with the water is having 2 hoses come out of the tower. One to feed the wash plant and one to feed the cleanout area. That way you dont have water running tru the entire system while not using it. With drilling, I got good results around square 412. If you click it after drilling it, it shows how much gold estimated is in there. I got a few that are 8000-9000gr and I am digging those right now. Did the top soil first with the front loader and had the best cleanout by far. Getting the excavator now.

Great video, loving this series. I’m surprised you randomly drilled knowing your usual OCD neatness! I have a feeling judging by your previous gold payouts that your really bad areas (these show as grey on the map) are ones you have already dug out. Also regarding the drill, if you go into the controller settings, select the customise settings, you can change all the keybinds for each machine individually. I changed lower drill to ‘down-dpad’ and raise drill to ‘left-dpad’ (I did up on the dpad first but then I couldn’t start the digger… 😆). The notification is because while you are steering left and right your stick is straying up and down slightly, drove me insane until I changed the keybinds (controller-binds?)

I didn't read all the comments, so I might be repeating what others have already said. First if you run the hose between the caravan and the tent up to the top of the river where the waterfall is, its deeper and the big hose will submerge all the way. Next if you turn on the pressure system in the game settings it will show the capacity of the tank and if it's filling up. If you put your work lights on a small Gen then you can plug in the big water pump and run it all the time to fill the tower. There were some other things but I forget the other tips. Great video, I'm a little further than you, so I did everything you're doing before I figured out some ways I felt worked better. Hope it helps some.

Mr.Sealy P, I have data for you! With regards to the Nuggetator, I did an in depth review of the difference between using the machine and washing by hand. I made a game save right before washing the mats of a full dual-jig setup (two sluices, two hog pans and extensions = 12 mosses and 8 mats). I then washed the gold in the Nuggetator, loaded the save and washed by hand, rinse, repeat, three times each method. This way no random number generation should affect the outcome, and it’s the same gold in the mats each time. The numbers were almost identical for each cycle of a specific method, with the Nuggetator showing a slightly more than 4% increase over the buckets every time. It’s quantitative evidence that the Nuggetator is better than using buckets. Results are below. Nuggetator 1: 41.992 oz Buckets 1: 40.281 oz Nuggetator 2: 41.991 oz Buckets 2: 40.288 oz Nuggetator 3: 41.991 oz Buckets 3: 40.287 oz

As far as time spent playing, each minute in game is 5 seconds in real life. So, each day in game is two hours of real time. 29 days into the game is 58 hours of real time (if you don’t sleep to skip ahead), plus any time you spend paused in menu screens.

Another great video. Unlock the bar size at the black smith bar is then 2300g so saves loads of time. Also nugitator I ran a test and it gives you the same amount of gold but saves loads of time because it concentrates the pay dirt from all the mats into one bucket.

Use the X to select the square under the ring curser to get a break down on the depth, a light colour shows that they will be better spots lower. Turn on the pressure system to play with the amount of water level, water flow rates, power supply and power load. And spending days with frozen streams and no cash for a trailer tank. You need to avoid the left stick vertical while turning with the horizontal.

If you cut the pressure failure setting on in the menu it will tell you how much water you're pumping into the tower as well as the voltage the big generator is putting out.

Loving the series Mr Sealyp. You've got me hooked on another game, many thanks for that. Ok I'm on PC but I've also noticed that my gold clean ups are going down even though I've drilled and I'm mining good ground ~0.9oz/m3. After much searching I've I found there is a bug/feature with the wheel loader when used to quarry. When you take pay from the bottom of a wall all the pay has the value of the very top layer and appears to be far worse than the drilling results show. I switched to the large excavator on the top and tried to take layers out of the ground and my gold clean ups went over 3200g. It's worth doing a test to see if that is also happening on consoles.

When you are looking at the gold map if you select the square then use the toggle option, the square will show up on the parcel so you know where to dig.

I can't believe not one nugget was found drilling, is this a console thing? If you zoom in on the gold map it shows the detailed view of drill sites, then when you click on each individual site it shows the gold level and where it is depth wise. Then if you highlight that square, as you dig it the square will go lighter or darker as you pass into less or more gold. Perfect content and great entertainment as always Mr Sealyp

Drilling for the 🏆..70% and 90% but for no other reason. After drilling over 50% I noticed there really isn’t any significant differences in the gold placement? It was around 200oz to 300 and two squares were around 160.. so I’m going to haul all of it with loader and truck like you are.

The drilling machine is the only piece of machinery that I will never buy. That for me is a ALWAYS rent because no matter what it eventually becomes useless once you've sampled all the land it just sits. Basically if I were you I would have bought the excavator because you're gonna have to keep on renting that to move equipment, I mean you've already rented that thing 3 times. I just think the excavator is a more useful purchase where as the drilling machine is one and done. Well 3 and done, 1 for each parcel but the excavator is priceless for moving stuff. Edit: also was just thinking about the how you can probably rent and sample all the land on map for half the cost of buying the thing.

The problem is it takes a good few hours to properly drill the claim (3-5 holes per square) and on console the game speed is X12 and days fly past, not doing the math but I can imagine the drill pays for itself eventually. I just bought it as its cheap in the grand scheme of things and it unlocks an achievement to purchase all machines. Not sure how the game works on console but on pc the amount you have to pay the owner for each m3 dug adds up to a ridiculous amount and it gets much higher on the better parcels.

@@Zeotropic I never noticed any additional cost than the 1-2k for renting and I've never had to drill a square more than once. If that is the case then I will definitely rethink my strategy. I was just pointing out that you can rent it for 2k and easily drill every square in one day. Do that 3 times and you've drilled the entire map for 6k. Even if it takes you 2 days each time you rent to drill a parcel, rental its still only 20%~25% of buying price. Again I never noticed that each time you drill a square you have to pay or that you have to drill more than once, that will change the deal obviously. I will be more mindful of additional charges next time I rent one.

Mrsealyp you were questioning about the nuggetator I just run an experiment on a full tier 5 setup for best results. The results ended up being while there was less in the pail with the large miners moss the result was actually slightly more gold and magnetite that cleaning the mosses by pail. And on the hog pan in the end it was zero magnetite on the pail and I ended up getting 17oz with the nuggetator. The way I did this was I used one side of the plant with the nuggetator and one side without.

I play on Xbox, just about to get to the end of my first year. Have noticed no real issues, the only recurring one is cleaning the miners moss matts, they occasionally drop through the machinery, which isn’t an issue as you just crouch down and pick them up from underneath it.

To see water in and out values for the water system turn on pressure system in the options! To use the water from the water tower you DO NOT need a pump, it uses gravity to supply water to all!

❤️🎞️👍, looks like console players get shafted again. On PC you find random nuggets while drilling. Often i get 25-35kg of gold nuggets if i drill every square once. Speaking of there are about 16 position inside of each square you can drill, but 1 drill in middle is normally enough to get a good picture of how much gold there is. On gold map click on square to get a more detailed info on drill results, i.e. how deep gold is etc... Be careful when drilling around edge of plot, hitting bedrock will wear out drill real fast. Make sure that if you pass winter in the hotel, that you have as much of your gear that you can be bothered moving. In the shed next to fast travel point, so it doesn't receive wear and tear from weather. Otherwise you will come back and everything will need repairs. That includes moving all processing static machines back to machinery shop for "storage" unless you decide is cheaper and easier to repair then to move. Which maybe the case now you have a mechanic
