It's amazing how some modders say "here is an American map" and you think well I suppose it could be, this one on the other hand looks pretty darn good. The modder has also avoided all the base game 'American' modeling like the Elm Creek house etc, you are right Mr SP it is a good un.👍🏁

Thanks for a positive review on this one. I love the feeling of space all around, after playing on some cluttered English maps, but diversity is the ingredient that keeps us coming back for more. After watching MrSealyp of course.

Thank you for taking the time to make a video on the iowa map. It's my home state. Although the roads are not square miles I'll take it an love it. Iowa has lots of gravel roads. Hopefully he took off the tedding if possible for hay as I never ones seen it done in iowa. But I'm so happy the wait is finally over for an iowa map on all platforms. Side note I seen he said in the update log anything with name was taken off to pass console. Unfortunately I feel it took a lot away from the feel of the map I didn't look at any KZbinrs videos on this map to see what was removed. As to why none of the buildings had names on them? Thank you again Mr Sealy P you are awesome.

This is why I love watching your videos lol. I play on PC and have been playing this map for a while, got a nice little farm set up. But I didn't know about the land at the top. Well, I knew it was there but either it's been updated, or I clicked in the wrong place, because I bought it and couldn't do anything with it...couldn't sell the buildings etc. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow lol. BTW, corn on this map is well worth doing. Popcorn sells at a great price as does corn bread. I normally don't bother with corn much, but on this map it's a good earner.

It may not be an exact model of a town but there is a plain view Iowa actually only a couple hrs from where I live in Iowa. Definitely love the map so far. I thought about building a farm in the big empty grass area by field 3

Born and raised in iowa east central. Allis Chalmers and Gleaner equipment on our farm and neighbors I helped on. First thing is to sell the John deere and get me a fancy 8050 Allis Chalmers, and a couple of the 1050 challengers.

I couldn't agree more. I've spent a lot of time on PC with this map, it's my current play map, and it just works. Makes corn worthwhile. I don't bother with pigs, so sold the pen and used the area to increase the size of the grass field.

I'm on PC, I was going to start this map when Griffin came out. As I live in Indiana I leaned towards Griffin and I am enjoying my game. But this one is loaded and ready to go. I actually think Black River blows both away, I think it may be one of, if not THE best map so far in FS22. I have it installed and have been exploring, but it was removed from modhub. I am sort of waiting to see what happens there, it is still available elsewhere.

Roadways are raised in the American Midwest to facilitate road bed drainage giving the nice roads. I am from the western part of Pennsylvania and roads are built level with the geography, hence we have crappy roads here. Kudos to the engineers in the Midwest.

My next map. Started on Griffin, but there were something missing in the detailing. This looks like a base game map, even the minimap looks like giants.

Griffin just feels small in scope. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does feel limited, penned in, narrow...Just the layout of the map, the size of the fields, the lack of "areas of interest". There are hidden features, especially in the woods in the north, but it just feels like a small place. This map feels busier, there are just more nooks and crannies. If Black River ever comes back to modhub you should check that one out. It is the same sized map, but it has more detail and areas of interest pack in than any map I have yet see.

@celobukara no, thank you buddy. This map is so well done. A lot of custom buildings (some mappers use the Hofmann buildings and they’re so ugly 😁), lots of details, traffic, oddly shaped fields, a town, etc. It ticks all the boxes for me. This map belongs in the list of rare excellent maps on modhub, together with Calmsden, Alex Prodealcenter, Stone Valley, Osada, Wosnice, Freuhling, etc. I’m very critical as some already know but when something is good, I will definitely praise the creator. 5 stars. 👍

If you’re just finding this map, it has changed a bit. The map maker reworked the industrial park giving each shop its own distinct look. Added a few more productions like a waffle house, pancake shop, ketchup, and a few others.

This is hands down the best American map. Everything works. Cow and pig barns are beautiful custom buildings, and not the generic Giants ones. The abandoned farm is a great place to start and build your farm. On console we're only a combine away from a 1960's roleplay setup, Can't say enough wonderful things about the map.

Where I grew up in Iowa, there were so many fields with terraces. They should really add this feature into the game. It would make it fun to farm terraced land. And we used to knock the heck out of the pheasant who loved hanging out on the face of the terraces.

The old red cowbarn that the modder added to the map , why didnt he add that as a stand alone mod you can use on other maps, all the base game and modded cow barns on the mod hub are hideous, i want this one on all my maps.

It is a nice looking map, until you walk around a bit and realize that the scale on the buildings is off. Windows and light switches are above your head. Everything is oversized.

The top left plot can be bought cheaply, and cleared and sold for a profit, or used as you wish. Very nice map indeed. Thanks for the review Mr. SealyP. edit: LOL, I spoke to soon, you covered it in your tour anyway.
