Yeah you finally said it, This really reminds me of playing the early console versions FS, FS15. Selling everything off to place wind turbines to have the money for good equipment and fields without using the bank loan. I also have a really bad habit of starting a farm and working hard upfront to get it established, and then I start another one again.

This is a fascinating idea. Build a solar/wind farm to generate the money and then just farm what you like rather than worrying about what brings in the most money for progressing. Me personally I like doing the green houses/gardens. If you like doing horses then do that. Much love MrSealyp I'll be trying this at the weekend.
@razzlebazzle420Ай бұрын
I think horses were only really good for getting around, and might be made workable if you could hire grooms lol. I think it might have been cool if that pc mod that let you use cows to plow fields and pull carts made it to console, have a proper 1800s frontier farm experience.

Good experiment and showed off the generator side of FS22 which can get lost in other profits from farming and productions.
@Qualjyn8 ай бұрын
It's hardly even a "side". You plop them down and they make money. There's no gameplay there whatsoever. Taking them out of FS19 was a good idea from a gameplay standpoint but I guess people wanted them back.
@40Beany8 ай бұрын
@@Qualjyn As the game is Farming Simulator and diversifying into leasing land for solar arrays is what UK farmers are doing they should be included in the game. Whether you want to use them or not is entirely up your you.

Ah, I love the concept. I remember when i was in my late teens playing FS2009 on the pc where I believe Fendt was the only brand in game, there was no government subsidy. I remember with the start up money and I think loans buying turbines then leaving the game running on fast forward for hours then keep adding extra turbines when i had the money just to buy all the big equipment and field. This gave me a complete nostalgia trip. Looking back its amazing how far FS has developed from the grass roots it started with - its definitely a gave the developers should be proud of

I saw the title and immediately my mind went to The Spiffing Brits most recent er play through lol. Something to be mindful of you can easily beat start from scratch (with all the settings on) just using solar and wind the game economy is only difficult when you farm. Good luck.
@Qualjyn8 ай бұрын
The game economy isn't difficult when you farm either. Very nearly everything you can do in the game is guaranteed profits over time, it just takes much longer on hard economy, and some crops are more worth it than others. "Difficulty" isn't really a thing in Farming Simulator, just different levels of tedium. The only realistic way to put yourself in an unwinnable situation is to impose some truly absurd restrictions on yourself that would make it impossible to recover from a mistake.
@hybrid9mm8 ай бұрын
@@Qualjyn even with ridiculous self imposed limits the game is easy once you know how to make money, time is the only thing holding the player back and even then it can be manipulated. FS is meant to be fun and relaxing so it’s no surprise it’s easy to beat.

With Generators there are a few things to consider. So..the Hourly income is shown in store based on Best Factors for 24hrs a day. So If you have clouds that will impact your solar income, as well as night and the length of "Sun time". For "wind" generators, there is an Optimal Wind Speed that is required to generate the store displayed income. What I've noticed is that some mods have the optimal windspeed at 15 mph/kph but the wind typically blows at 2-4 mph. The highest that I've seen it blow is 8 during a storm. So you typically never get the Stored Display Income.

I start allot of my maps selling everything they give me; including buildings; and doing “passive income” (greenhouses, solar, etc) then start selling trees… build up enough $ to get good equipment to use strait away; instead of that low productive junk.. and then I build the thing the way I want as well… no mans land and western wilds are my two main maps… seems to work for what I’m doing… now that I’m on farm-22 (started week ago) I find myself mainly mining and logging… This kind of thing you are doing reminds me heavily of my fs-11 game play from a few years ago.. This is a fun experiment but the fluctuation in payments is really confusing. Thanks for something a little different to get me thinking about how to make the game a little better!
@delightedmammal17417 ай бұрын
The payments from wind and solar energy are affected by the weather and wind conditions in game. That’s why they fluctuate in profit so much. It’s been a base game feature since day one. Unfortunately though, you never really see the maximum income potential these generators can bring in but they do provide a nice cushion for income whilst running a farm.
