I don't always comment but today touched me to tears. I am 2 years out of an 8 year relationship and I never even looked at it as courage that it took for me to say out loud that I was done. Let alone the courage to say it's over. I had a child with that man and now parent that child primarily by myself. I struggle with my mental health and am still grappling with the fact that my family couldn't be forever..at least the way I wanted. Therapy for the last 2 years is getting me through. Thank you Mel for popping the trunk on folk.

I appreciated Mel’s pop off! Because it’s 1000% true! When I disclosed to people that I filed for a divorce, I was so annoyed when people tried to tell me I should fight. Like what you think I been doing?! Filing is the hardest decision anyone will make. TRUST all options have been more than exhausted 😮💨😮💨

Any brand you recommend? Any place in particular to get it from? I have done home made honey + turmeric mask before but getting the orange tint off my skin after is a pain and I don’t always have the energy. I don’t just want it by any old gimmicky soap I find in a store so if you can share a link or name that would be amazing. I have the WORST acne since my teens and I’m now a 37 yr old perimenopausal mom who has acne worse than my teenager.

Girl YES! Period, perimenopause, and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Period blood loss makes me weaker and more prone to fainting with my POTS. Hot flashes from perimenopause triggers my tachycardia and then the fainting. The hormone imbalance to both of those things has my HR and BP doing the freaking most

9:23 Mel if you want me to email you over some links to ones me and my teenage daughter have and do use that do work let me know. I have BAD acne for pretty much all my life since 12/13yrs old (I’m 37 and perimenopausal now still with acne) and I battle skin picking OCD. So I have to do everything I can to stop pimples before they get too bad and put something over them to stop myself from picking/touching. I get all mine from Amazon so the price is great and they do work. My teenage daughter uses them for her occasional hormonal acne (thankfully she’s not as bad as I am) and even from time to time my mom uses them as well. I get a box that has a variety of sizes including ones for larger areas like shoulders.

Casual transphobia on a Thursday afternoon is such a choice. I'm a cis woman and while I agree that periods and menopause aren't great I don't think we need to be invalidating trans women. That's unnecessary and quite nasty.

@@lynngevity3724 It's all dress up 😂 womanhood/feminity as we know it is all made up. Masculinity too. Not to be like "slavery and white people" but also....yes! Trans folks aren't new. Every culture has had trans people and they've been part of the community. Colonization spread hatred and bigotry to get us to where we are today. And I'm gonna assume you're a Christian because like...look where we are 😂 God said to love your neighbor. And whether you know it or not;that offense you're feeling comes from/along with hatred that we've been taught. The only way for us to get anywhere is to work together with love.
