I have a pair of these and a pair of LG s65t3s speakers plus a sony sa-wm40 active subwoofer connected to my panasonic sa-bx500 7.1 surround system hooked up to an LG 65" led tv. When I put copperhead road on at half volume, the house shakes! What's so special about it all? The active sub came from the scrap metal yard for AU$20 and the telly, 7.1 surround and 4 speakers all came from the local tip out of the e-waste container for free! ( I did have to fix the telly- the rest was plug n play)

Is it using WOOFER or SUBWOOFER ? The low bass is strongly present but not overpowering, it makes the speakers sound more powerful.

So the super woofer is actually 6th order bandpass enclosure there. Sure they might sound good to someone but no one should call these as any kind of hi-fi speakers. Cheaply made and so many things done horribly wrong, design flaws etc.. typical "nice and powerful" looking consumer speakers.

what is that white thing doing actually? does it offer better quality?

not exactly better quality, well it kind of depends on what you're doing with it. Basically it makes the boxes seem larger, dampens the boom and sort of tightens up the bass. This works best on and is more noticeable with speaker cabinets that are obviously peaky or boomy, much like these things were. If your cabinets are already sounding good, you can try it, but it's more likely to make the bass go away. I could post a technical description of how it works by slowing down the waves from the rear of the speaker, making the air in the cabinet dense and talking about thermodynamics blah blah, but that's not needed. Besides, I'm sure someone else will do that eventually.. maybe

I have a pair of Bang & Olufsen Penta speakers them things are absolutely incredible and I would never rip them apart like that cuz they cost me $5,000 way back 25 years ago and they were built in the early 90s and 89 I think and they still today smoke any other stereo system I've seen but that price they should they know what they're going through in that's for sure if you looked and speakers not be we like good God and then if you look up their new speakers mine does not need a sub woffer has about 12 different 4 inch speakers in a 6 inch or 6 ft tall Pentagon type speaker with a digital display in the middle of this now this is before digital displays ever came out bands like Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails why do they 70 stuff it's like listening to the for the whole first time ever incredible you hear all kinds of tones and notes and stuff you never hear through its own hear anything else Bose is crap
