Teach an Abeka Kindergarten Lesson With Me!

I subbed today in kindergarten and though I'd take you along. This is phonics lesson 86 in Abeka kindergarten.
Hi! I’m Natasha! I homeschooled my kids for 9 years and have taught for almost 20. In 2022 I opened my own school. I am a certified principal and teacher with a full ESL endorsement. I’ve been following you for years! I’m so glad you are back. I’ve always used cle learn to read for years but I was curious if abeka phonics was similar? I think I remember you have used cle in the past. Thanks!

Awww, thanks for sticking around! I used CLE kindergarten, but it is WAY easier than Abeka kindergarten. I did use CLE learn to read for a little bit, but I prefer Abeka. I don't really have a solid reason for that except for Abeka is what I know. It's very, very classroom friendly. I didn't use it when homeschooling because IMO it really is more suited for a classroom. For example, in this video, I walked into the classroom and hadn't looked at the lesson even for a moment before I walked in. You'll notice me going over to the teacher book a few times. That's because I was seeing what I was supposed to be doing next. lol 😂 I love how Abeka lays it all out for the teacher. I find it VERY good for new teachers who really need step by step directions. Hope that helps a little.
