I will put my crops in the floating islands... Right now i have them in fields all around my valley, for example Sugarcone in sunlit or onions in the Woods etc. I have the 4 ancient gardening machines put in each biome and all of that takes sooo much space, so I am glad I have now entire Islands for gardening 😌🌱

I am going to make a theme park island and make Vanellope her own candy floating island with her own racetrack! Right now, my sunlit is my theme park and half of the frosted heights is Vanellope's racetrack which includes that candy house skin as well. I am going to redue my entire valley when this update comes out because the 16-point rotations coming as well. I am very excited for the Dec 4th update! I can't wait to decorate!

As a switch player only allowed 3000 and not 6000 item limit, this is a game changer. Storage and farming will definitely be taken advantage of with these new islands. 🎉 Also Scar will be banished as he is currently locked away in the desert in eternity isle because his house is huge and ugly. LOL! Wish I could move mother gothels tree house along with her in it lol.

I don't mind Vanellope's house. I put her in the Forest of Valor, put some candy cane trees around her home, and built her a small ractrack with her car parked on it. She also gets to have that arcade game Sulley gave her, and she now also "takes care" of my "food-based" pets, like that crocodile made of watermelon, the citrus fruit turtle, etc. (A nice player gave me the idea of setting up pet houses in front of villagers' homes to make it look like they're taking care of my pets for me, hehehe). I've seen some players put her home in Frosted Heights and turn it into a frosty candy-themed wonderland ;) Or they integrate her house with Christmas year-round-style decorations for Frosted Heights. I might consider a villain "jail" island, but I'll be kinda busy with the DLC, as well as making all the stuff I wanted to do, but didn't have the space for in my Valley. Like for the Plaza/Meadow island, I'd do a theme park. The Frosted Heights island will be Christmas all year-round. They won't have this for the update, but I have a strong feeling it will be available eventually; when we get a Forgotten Lands island, I'll make it Halloween year-round. If I make a villain jail island, it will probably be the floating island based on the Sunlit Plateau. Make it look like a dusty, dry, desert prison, hehehe. I have no clue what I would do with the forest floating island.

I took a break from the game when it first launched bc my old computer wasn't running it well and when I came back I forgot everything LOL and I was slow jogging everywhere and was trying to show my boyfriend (who's a gamer himself lolol) something in game one time and he said "can't you go any faster" and I got so offended LMFAO then I looked it up and found your channel and I've been here ever since LOL but when i learned i could "sprint" we got the biggest laugh outta that 😂😂😂 much more was discovered after this by watching you but i had to share how I found you LOL I'm also super STOKED for floating islands 😍😍 and I don't hate Vanellopes house lolol it's cute but doesn't have a place in my valley at the moment

I think you can also use these islands, at least what I'm thinking I'd use them for, are for themed areas. Like my Frosted Heights is full due to the winter market village I've made awhile ago that I don't have the heart to tear down. We have some many new houses that I want to make look less full or cluttered in my valley. Having the freedom to do that without ponds or other obstacles I can't move, sounds good to me!

I plan on putting Vanellope's house in the frosted island to make it candyland theme. I had her in the smaller part of the frosted heights for this, but that will open that up to more winter/Christmas. I want to make the sunlit island a gardening area and the plaza island a theme park. I hadn't decided what to do with the forest island. I never thought about doing a storage island! I think you have convinced me too!

@@Ciella-g2x I agree but I wouldn’t hold my breath. I actually really wish they would do something that would allow us to move Jafar, Gothel and Elsa. I dislike being unable to move the tree house, but not being able to move characters homes is the worst part besides bugs and some costs. I want to put Elsa in the Frozen Heights with Ana, which is where Elsa should have gone in the first place. And I have been desperately wanting to create a villain neighborhood since the game launched. I sort of did with the Glade, but that wasn’t where I wanted the neighborhood and the fact I can’t bring Jafar there ruined that plan. As for Venalope. I will probably move her to an island but I am waiting to see what Storybook Vale Part 2 biomes will look like because I can see possibly putting her in a more Wonderland type biome. I will likely be making my Meadows back into a mixture of a farm/farmers market while I move my Meadow Residents to a floating island. Especially now that I will have more fall themed items.

I don't dislike Vanellope but her house just doesn't match the rest of my valley, so it's going there. I am going to use another island for farming fruits and vegetables which will free up more space in my actual Valley. And maybe another for my amusement park so I can have every ride placed.

@@Roxxie-The-Imp The only thing with Pixar Pier is that there are really only 4 things I have for it: Pixar Pal-Around, Monstropolis Attraction, Emotional Whirlwind and Bing Bong’s Candy Stand. Hopefully we’ll get more Pixar-themed attractions next spring!

for me personally, as a switch user, i'm going to put any character or house that i'm not as fond of and put them on the floating islands, it will be hard to pick as i don't hate any villagers (besides mother gothel) but to help with my lag problem this is a must

I'm planning to use one Floating Island for all the Disney Park Starpath rides. I do have a Storage island in mind, but as in temporarily storing the villager houses while I redecorate my Biomes. Hopefully, the Eternity Isle and upcoming Storybook Vale biomes will get Floating Islands as well.

Those are my current plans for the Floating Islands. They might get changed later. ( Definitely not changing my mind about the Frosted Island ) Plaza Island: I’m gonna turn this in a theme park OR Monstropolis Meadow Island: I’m gonna turn this into a cozy neighborhood, a theme park OR a garden Beach Island: I’m gonna turn this into Motunui, and let Moana & Maui live there. An additional critter house will be placed so Pua can join Moana & Maui ( and Heihei once I get him ) Forest Island: I’m gonna turn this into a training camp for Mulan, and she and Mushu will live there. Glade Island: I’m gonna turn this into a city with a metro ( using the trolley and tracks you get from Oswald ) Sunlit Island: I’m gonna turn this into a storage system ( if I decide that I need a storage system ) Frosted Island: I’m gonna turn this island into a Candy biome for Vanellope, and she will live there. Forgotten Island: I’m gonna turn this into a pumpkin field

Yeah, I’m doing a theme park for plaza one too and putting Woody’s house there if I can. For the beach one, I’m also putting Moana’s house and Maui’s there. That way, I can move Stitch back to the regular beach. The meadow one I might put WALL·E with his garden and Eve’s house. Frosted will be Christmas, forgotten a cemetery. I may do a toy story theme for the forest one (minus Woody’s house and the alien ride). Sunlit one will probably be Aladdin themed unless we get floating islands for Eternity Isle. I don’t know about glade one yet.

honestly i am with you Mr Star like i dont understad the hate for Venelope's house i feel it can be made to work in most biomes but i feel the frosted heights is the best biome for her house. if i was to make a jail island mother gothel would be its first resident but dont know if that will happen sadly . I feel that like when we got Timon and Pumba after the Summer update we MAY see Wreck it Ralph but i could be wrong we shall see.

I'm not sure how a "jail island" would work. When my avatar is in the Valley, the only character from Eternity Isle who doesn't hang out there very often is Eve. Maybe it's because I moved WALL-E's house next to hers on Eternity Isle so they both hang out there a bit more. When my avatar goes to Eternity Isle, there are *many* DDV characters who like to hang out there: especially my Toy Story characters and my Encanto princess, along with Vanelope and several others. Even Merlin hangs out in Remy's Restaurant or Scrooge's store on Eternity Isle and Goofy is always in whichever place I am - which I love. If these new Islands act similarly, the characters would still be free to come and go where they please - just as they do now. Of course, I don't know if these Islands will work in the same way as biomes currently do but I guess we will see. :)

Vanellope is hated due to her horrendous sarah silverman voice, and her seizure inducing flashing which does not turn off with the "disable flickering" toggle. Thanks devs!! Straight to jail, throw away the key.

Vanellope and Jack are the only characters I really don't like (Their houses are ok) BUT in my valley all Disney characters are welcome and no one is banished to the floating islands! So I'm not going to use the islands as jails. (Ok, unless there are Muppets, Star Wars or other characters like this in the future. I'll give them a one-way ticket to jail) I love decorating and even for the characters I don't like I try to make something nice around their house. I don't mind Mother Gothel and her house at all! I think her house fits in nicely with the Glade. But I almost think I'm the only one who thinks this way. Making a theme park island is a really good idea! I will definitely do that. I will also put my crops in the floating islands and I hope that it is also possible to place the harvest trees there. And of course I also make a storage island. But no jails in my valley!

I avoid teleporting whenever I can due to my Switch loading times. It's faster to glide. I hate getting glimmer in the realms and rarely travel between my main Valley and Eternity Isle. I cannot wait until Switch 2 is released!!

I don't think I am going to use them as jails. I think I want to decorate each as a more isolated area for a build. Like a frosted heights island that is either all frozen themed or beauty and the beast themed etc. I am just excited because the switch limits on the main valley limits what I can do in that biome. I may actually not leave my main valley decorated but rather put it all on the islands and then use the main valley for dreamsnaps.

Don't get me wrong, floating islands are great but they haven't sold my issue of not wanting to decorate because of dreamsnaps. I still want the regular biomes for dreamsnaps incase I want to do a multilevel dreamsnap. Hence I still really want them to add valley or biome presets

I might move my entire valley to the floating islands. I'm so tired of everything looking so trashy all the time! I've never played a decorating type game that constantly respawned junk all over the place like this one does. If everything respawned once every day that would be perfect but every few minutes just makes decorating feel pointless. I'll leave WALL-E in the valley since trash is his thing, lol. I'll just let the valley grow wild and visit it whenever I need to gather stuff, the nice areas will be the islands with no respawning junk, yay! :)

Me, Vanallope and Maui are the top two to go to Jail Island, both out of annoyance and dislike. It's also the repeating lines that get annoying to me, the top one being Mike's stand-up comedy, however, that can change. Also, no I don't always or at all hate the character/s, it is just the same lines over and over, and it gets so annoying. I can make a whole Reddit post on the stupid things the villagers say, or at least some strange ones, if you think about it, that will get stuck in your head, every time you hear it, with my snarky remarks to go with it. Vanallope's house is nice, but it is just her voice that is annoying, and she's a nasty little brat, namely that Remy's delivery express garlicky food to give her dragon breath, that I just want to spank her!
