People who don't think that remixes can be as good (or better) than the original song don't understand music. In the same way that we would say that a more talented vocalist singing a song could make the song better, we would say that a more talented producer/musician remixing a song could be better. While I agree that the original version of this song is quite good, there are plenty of merits that this remix has that the original does not have (better production, better sound quality, more interesting changes in the music, etc.). Finally, it is not "an excuse" to say "It's just an opinion." Clearly we all do not think that everyone like Death Metal but clearly there are some people who do. This is because it is "an opinion," i.e. it is subjective, when it comes to what we types of art we enjoy. An excuse attempts to put the blame on something else, but there is no real need to do because anyone who blames you for not liking what they view as "superior" music is a moron.

Oof. Aro is a good and bad thing, and I feel a twinge of pity, along with a "go you" somewhere. I'm bi (the EXACT oppisite, or would that be pan? Well, for all I know I am pan, still working it out) and it's great, but not always. Whenever I listen to this song, I get this sad nostalgic feeling from when I was 10. I started questioning what was real and what was fake. Whether or not love was just a chemical triggered in the brain or something that is spiritual or destined to happen. Whether or not dying was an eternal sleep or a we got a temporary "second life". I even hinted at being trans and got shot down by the rest of my family except my mom and sister. I happy they didn't, it would have made me feel like I couldn't make my own choices. I'm still female and being male would be great but I don't want to take any chances. All of this because my dad left and kept making stupid decisions. He doesn't even bother to call me. The original by Cavetown is called home. Robin has done 3 versions. When he young, when his voice became deeper, and now his newest verison is a start and stop uke pattern now that he is an adult.
