This show had a really great moment that I wish more shows/movies had. In an early episode, Cromartie finds the Connors' safe house, and shoots up the place. During the shootout, Sarah hides behind a recliner chair, avoiding some gunfire. My roommate at the time remarks "That chair could not stop machine-gun fire." To which I replied "I give Sarah Connor the benefit of the doubt that she lined the chair with kevlar, just in case she needed cover." Two scenes later, the CSIs are going over the safe house crime scene, and the detective remarks "There's kevlar in that chair." MUCH to my amazement and vindication! I think a lot of shows and movies could benefit from throwaway lines like that. Just a tiny bit of believability added to otherwise outlandish scenarios.

I haven't seen this show in awhile, and remember some of it and think it's great, but don't remember much regarding how strong the special effects are, so I was initially apprehensive upon viewing clips using that here on this video, but to my surprise, I think they hold up really well. This show aimed to be more than what some would expect - A stereotypical action show. It could have kind of cerebral storytelling, with slow, deliberate pacing, ramping up intrigue and tension in a great way, and expanded on the Terminator lore in intelligent ways. I value it a lot as an addition to the mythos.

Big agree that this was a much better sequel to T2, much more imaginative, then anything in the 4 sequel movies. - Cameron having, and hiding from John, a compleat copy of the memories and emotions of the human she was sculpted to match. - The T-1001 whose back from the future not from SkyNet, but from a terminator rebellion against SkyNet. So she's trying to make John Henry ( killer nod in the name ) to be the progenitor A.I., but one that understood and could aligh with humans rather then start the war. - the idea that there arnt just a couple revised timelines, but maybe dozens but they all go back to the same war and no ones getting anywhere.

I love the show! It actually tries to continue the story and respect the characters. Every main character is great in the show, it does a good job of character development, The action and CGI is pretty neat especially for a TV Show.

There's so much good about this series. I remember thinking Derek was such a great addition to the lore, and had a fantastic arc throughout the series. The dynamic of John having a flawed uncle, wanting to connect with him and vice versa, but there still being tension in their relationship dynamic because of Derek knowing his status as a "messiah" was great.

I never really got the feeling that the writers were creating romantic tension between Sarah and Derek. Rather, I got the feeling that they were always trying to create a sort of *_family_* tension. Like, Sarah and the other characters were constantly second-guessing Derek, like, "just because you're Kyle Reese's brother doesn't mean you're beyond reproach." And sure enough, Derek's allegiances were conflicted and he was less than forthcoming about his allegiances, thus deserving that criticism....

You guys mentioned Doll House and that you didn’t see the 2nd season. The 2nd season of Doll House is absolutely insane. It’s like the writers realized the show was canceled so they just went nuts. It’s practically a completely different show. Once they... turn the entire human population into Dolls with one worldwide phone call, the storyline goes full post-apocalyptic!! You gotta check it out! It’s extreme hard science fiction insanity!

A movie to wrap up TSCC is the ONLY new Terminator film I would be interested in. Fox should be ashamed of themselves for canceling this series, it had more heart and soul than anything else that has come out since T2 (though I didn't mind T3 or Salvation too much. Genysis was awful, and Dark Fate I refuse to watch after seeing the first two minutes online). Also just a side note, for anyone who wants more Terminator in the same vein as T1 or T2, check out the video game "Terminator: Resistance." It's not the best game, but the story is fantastic and ties in directly to the first two movies. It even has the same style!

I think it makes sense that Cameron was able to fake being a normal teen, much better, in the pilot. She had probably fine tuned her script for the introduction for a while. Spent time around the teens and the school and assembled a wide selection of lines and behaviors that would fit an outgoing girl in that environment. After the other terminator showed up right away, shit hitting the fan and the school girl persona no longer being relevant she dropped it unless it became convenient.

This show had one of my fav jokes. Shirley Manson played a T-1001 who wasn't so good at imitating a human, but was posing as the mother of a little girl. The girl was no fool and knew something was wrong, and at one point Manson tried to reassure her by suggesting they sing a song together. The girl screamed, "You can't sing!!" and ran off.

I saw an old episode where you guys joked that you might even review a board game. So, I'm going to suggest one. It's called Chronicles of Crime. In it players take on the role of a private detective. The game features a companion app that allows the players to interview witnesses, examine clues, and call expert help from characters such as a forensic scientist, or hacker. This is done through QR codes on all the cards. If that isn't interesting enough, you can purchase little VR glasses that will attach to your phone which allow you to look around crime scenes! The stories are very immersive. I think you might get a kick out of the experience. It just came out last year and already has two expansions: Noir, and Welcome to Redview.

Never watched the show because I was just young enough to not have been interested, but I do remember my dad telling me to come out and check out this one scene of a good terminator or some good guy with a child-like mind playing with some of the Phantoka and Mistika waves of Bionicle as a parallel to what was happening in the episode. So that was kind of cool and that's all I remember this show for. From the sounds of things, I should try to find a way to watch it despite it not having a proper conclusion.

This show was awesome, very tense and dramatic. It was my Thrones before Thrones. Also Salvation was an awesome side story, and people who poo-poo on it are not big Terminator fans. Salvation was similar in tone and style to the Dark Horse comics, which were awesome. Also, Genesys was by far BY FAR the worst Terminator, terrible casting/story/acting/directing/retconning.

Trivia: On Facebook, there is a group called "Should Summer Glau Be In An Episode of Doctor Who?" which was set up as an online campaign to get Summer Glau to appear in an episode of Doctor Who. Matt Smith whom played The Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who starred in Terminator Genisys as an embodiment of Skynet. Karen Gillan whom played the Eleventh Doctor's companion Amy Pond is set to star opposite Lena Headey in the 2020 action movie Gunpowder Milkshake.
