Видел подобную конструкцию лет 5 назад. Там должен быть ступенчатый упор под разную длину полена. В процессе работы полено должно быть как можно ближе к перпендикуляру. Что-то типа такого i01.fotocdn.net/s6/203/public_pin_m/270/2440629706.jpg

good idea, but unfortunately not so well implemented ... there are some things that could have been done better without much effort ... e.g. the shelf below to fix the wood, a plate with nails, or the metal hardening, because it's too soft, etc. but still good video

I have never seen welds so bad in my life, even an apprentice who has never seen a welding set before improves in time, you dont even attempt to weld clean metal together, you use your angle grinder so much but won't even grind the rust off the pieces you are trying to weld, I'm surprised the objects you make even last to the end of the video, if you want people to take you seriously, at least look on KZbin and learn how to weld, there's loads of help videos on here, take a break from constantly pumping out half thought out stuff and show people what you are really capable of, you are obviously an intelligent inventive man who is capable of so much more.

digbydt I dont know ant thing about it but I found it refereshing that some one had done some thing that wasnt squeaky perfect. It made me think I could do some thing similar. I did a bit of welding at a college and I guess that was the result i was getting. Sometimes a perfect result can be off putting to new comers.

if the cutting blade or its handle was a bit longer, you would need far less force to split the wood, the forces involved in pushing the blade down and splitting the wood will in next to no time break those very weak welds, most likely causing injury to the user when it goes.
