None of the large-scale machines, gamuda, has any of these machines. Most of these machine technologies are China

Nope. The ones from Gamuda are from Germany and Switzerland. The Chinese ones not used here.

The two Chinese TBMs were used by the Chinese contractor from the Semantan portal to Pasa Seni, passing through Sentral station interchange section of the MRT. The two machines were assembled in the same factory that were used by Herrenkenct the German TBM manufacture that made TBMs for contracts in China. The KL MTR was driven through two differing strata's and so two different TBM designs were used. The Chinese contractor used an old Herrenkenct design bentonite slurry type for the Kenny Hill ground. While Gamuda used several mixed use Herrenkenct TBMs in the limestone voided grounds. I'm sorry but I can't remember the Chinese contractors name, but they performed very well and were a pleasure to work with for the entire tunneling process. Sadly, two of their employees perished in the MH370 tragedy. May they RIP.
