Line 2 has started construction and those young Malaysian engineers now can prove themselves, The number of expat mechanical, electrical and tunnelling engineers has been drastically cut, as a cost saving decision from above. I have spent most of my life working around the world on Great tunnelling projects, in each case have tried to teach the locals the art of tunnelling. Luckily for me I spent time working on SMART and this project, so I wish all my Malaysian friends good luck and be safe on Line 2.

@@wildboy3937 Kuala Lumpur traffic used to be bad the whole day. But the Malaysian government had the foresight to move the government to a brand new city in 1998 known as Putrajaya which was voted the best planned city development in the world a few times. The Cyber and technology center was moved to Cyberjaya which has average Internet speeds of above 100Mbps. Most offices there have 1Tbps speed. Also Malaysia build the world's first dual purpose flood and traffic control tunnel (the second longest vehicle underground tunnel) which "killed two birds with one stone" in the year 2000. Also the government has built special lanes for cyclists and motorcyclists and separate bus and public transportation lanes on all roads in the city center. All these have helped to remove the congestion away from KL city center which has the highest density of cars per sq km in SEA today.
