Regina Vaughn yeah, I get what you mean, we are playing it in 6th grade, and we can't play it perfectly, but we can play it really well. It's only because our school is one of the best musical schools in the county and whoever comes here they do it to become a musician. (most of the time) But hey, I agree with you almost completely.

I am hoping to soon get into another community band of the same caliber as the one I had to leave. This piece is so beautiful. I enjoyed playing this song... It is a great peice, written by a great man/composer. Though, I do have to say after I got the grasp on Metroplex by Robert Sheldon, I like that one much more. It shows the variety of styles a band can play, and also shows off the versatility of the Saxophone. I got the Alto solo, and transposed the English Horn solo as well because we didn't have one. :p That might've been what did it for me, but none the less I think it's all and all a better peice.
