New DreamView G1 Gaming Light vs T1 Pro TV model: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpCQq32lep18a5o

For anybody recently purchasing the dreamview P1 bars. I just set mine up yesterday and I noticed the same issue with the colors displaying as mostly red and pinks when my screen was actually displaying darker or cooler tones. I mostly fixed this issue by adjusting the white balance setting in the app. Play around with this setting as it will be different for each display. The default setting was set to the warmest setting. I actually had to set mine to the coolest setting. Seemed counter intuitive but it appears to have fixed the issue so far. Hope this helps!

I'm a little burnt out on watching videos and doing research the past two days, so I apologize if I'm asking a question you've already answered. I currently have a LGb7a 65" model and the back panel has a raised section -- a hump, if you will -- and due to that fact, I'm leaning more towards these Flow Pro Bars since I don't think the strip lights will be easily applied. Of course, it seems like the bars are better suited for a smaller model TVs and should probably figure out a way to implement the strip lights. What's your suggestion?
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, no problem at all. I would really try to get the strips to work first because I really think that you would be much happier with the experience for your screen size. For a 65" TV, you will not be able to install the strips right to the edges anyway. What model TV do you have specifically?

Out of every one your a G bout yours homie. Nobody was good enough to explain the right way. Not everyone will understand tech talk and that’s what these fools be doing so it makes it harder to understand.. but the problem with these lights is most people like myself has the tv hanging so the bars are a lot lower. So I had to build either a wall mount or an adjustable speaker stand.. I know this is an old video but gots to appreciate it regardless.. I have the T1 version of this. And it didn’t have the option to stick these on the back of my tv. Soo I just used my Mexican ingenuity lol and made them stick a certain way bcuz mine are rounded unfortunately and I have my ps5 behind my tv I wanted it to look in the front as ghosted as possible.. I’ll tell you what homie it makes a bigger difference bcuz it adds on to the already strip of lights .. so those colors you mentioned at the end of this video I have not had that off color. It takes time to figure out and adjust the lights but the bars over power sometimes the led’s , so if one side is green and red bcuz I followed your style it’s pretty much on point. At first I wasn’t going to put the bars on but after watching videos and seeing yours and I ended up calling govee customer support and asked bunch questions.. there the ones that actually laid it down bout why the bars sometimes don’t catch that right light. So now everything spot on .. I know with certain games or things that are very fast the lights 90% stick with the games for most part. Nothing is gonna be spot on and I’m really hard on everything to be just right or spot on but in reality it’s not.. anyways much respect homie..

@higashi69693 жыл бұрын
personally i would never add the bars to the strips at the same time, they just fight each other with the colors and lights and mess up the immersion. If you go with the bars, pull them away from the wall just a bit so they are not face first into the wall, you want the light to spread out. i have the immersion 2.0 strips for my 65" and they work perfectly, soo glad i got them cause they work way better than i thought they would.
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I actually do position the bars slightly further back in normal use. But I wanted things to be a bit more discernible on camera. Because of some of the bars shortcomings described in the video, the bars do counter the strips in some situations when it really should be more fluid. The dual kits working as one is definitely not for every piece of content.

What if you use a USB splitter. Have the two products feed off of one camera. Extra cables but one less camera. Thats the first thing I would try when I get the flow pro bars.
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I actually considered this at the onset. And someone else actually asked about this a few days ago. Govee advises against this, and I worry that the excess power load could cause damage to the control box
@VexX_DreaD3 жыл бұрын
@@MrTekSuggest I see but if each control box has its own power source then it should be okay. Only damage I can see is maybe the camera, by feeding two control units light data. Even then if nothing happens I could see maybe colour accuracy and response go down by possibly light info getting lost. BUT Shouldn't a splitter duplicate the info and send it down two paths? If that's the case, it's a possibility it may work without a problem.
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
@@VexX_DreaD Ah, I was thinking along the lines of eliminating the second control box all together, and feeding both power and data through 1 control unit. This is something that, as time goes on, I'll probably get brave enough to try. But as you mentioned, the control box that uses the splitter may become overloaded with data and cause latency, to not only the added bars, but now to the strips as well. Bringing the whole ship down.

ONe other thing i dislike. The wire comes out at the bottom, in all their images they retouch out that wire. I wont push them down completely since that will stress the cable. They should putten a cut in the stands so the wire could pass through and wire it out from the back of the lights.
@RomboutVersluijs3 жыл бұрын
One other thing i would suggest to them is lower the angle of the camera. With a lower angle it will capture more of the display. Currently it just grabs about 1/3 if your lucky. If its tilted down it will see the top corners better. At least i think. First time i saw these i could not understand why it could only be placed at the top. At the bottom its less distracting. This was super helpful. I’m really interested in the bars for my 43in tv but seeing that they can’t produce the separate lighting on each when in the video mimicking mode is disappointing. Trying to decide between going with the bars or the backlight which would mean trying to snake excess strip behind the tv
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
Really glad to hear that you found it helpful! My aim in making this video was to shed light for folks with dilemmas just as yours. With a 43 you'll definitely have to do some snaking, but it is doable. As for the bars, I'm hopeful that we'll get a few updates down the road to improve their video performance.
@zacharykoplik61353 жыл бұрын
@@MrTekSuggest thanks for the reply, in your experience has govee updated their products a lot? I would definitely be interested in the bars if there’s just some hope they might fix a few of the flaws.
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
Govee does keep the app fresh with updates and bug fixes. Something like this would require a larger update than usual, if it is indeed doable via software. I will say it is easier to dip your toe and perform a test run with the bars than it would be with the strips. Because once the strips are installed, it will be quite a hassle to remove and return

Do you need both the light bars and the immersion strip for the optimal experience? Or is using the immersion light strip enough by itself? What's the advantage of having both? Hiding one camera will be hard enough, two would be harder.
@MrTekSuggest3 жыл бұрын
Hey there, both products are definitely unnecessary when used with a single device. The light strips are capable of immersing you on their own. Check out my final verdict for this video which highlights advantages of using both.

@@MrTekSuggest have you tried having the light bars behind the TV with your strip? That's the only way I'd do it. Having the bars either side of the TV like in the video just wouldn't work for me, I'm not sure I like that look. Having everything behind the TV may be overkill though even if you turn the bars down by 20% like you suggested. Living in Australia it's an expensive investment, I don't know for the price I'd see the difference having everything behind the TV.

You bet, try lowering your saturation between 10-15%. And make sure that you don’t have any other rgb light sources nearby that the camera may be picking up. is it not possible using the phone software to sync a set of light flow pro bars with an immersion strip behind the tv in video mode, so that it only requires one camera? it is cheaper to buy them separately than the lightstrip+bar bundle but i wanted to ensure its possible to sync separate kits together in video mode otherwise I'd just pay the 50 dollars premium to get a bundle i know is guarenteed to work utilizing only one camera....

Another note - is the flow bar issue with them syncing the same color still an issue? At the time of this video, if one want. Other the flow bar and backlit, do I still need separate cameras?
