Yep. Guy was an insane talent just had horrendous luck with injuries. I always think of this performance as he'd only been back from injury a few games prior to this. The way he dominated the middle of the park with efficient possession, beautiful skill and control was a sight to behold. Just wish we'd had him for longer so he could have realised his full potential.

Just a massive, and I mean massive talent. Injuries took away what could have been a brilliant career. Every now and then, when he was healthy, you could see it, you saw how dominant he could be. but honestly those times were few and far between. He gave his all for the Arsenal, i'm really sorry this didn't have a better ending. Everything people are saying about Pogba, he wouldn't hold a candle to a healthy Diaby

Lee Ryan no, you don’t understand, diaby was really good, he was supposedly our next vieira but injuries won over him, he had everything to become one of the best, physical, tackling, shooting, dribbling, passing but again, succumbed to injuries. just unfortunate really even pogba wouldn’t be good if he had injuries like diaby’s had. Diaby had 42 injuries, 42. Pogba isn’t even close to 10.

Lee Ryan then you really really underestimated him. Back then when he was playing consistently, fans were asked to described Diaby, 90% would say that he’s the next vieira even till now pundits and ex Arsenal legends like Ian Wright etc still described him like that so that says a lot. You talk about consistency but how can you be consistent when you’re literally injured for years, he was consistent when he played and played really well most of the time.

Titanic performance from Abou. His horrific injury record, all stemming from that leg break, has to be one of the biggest tragedies of Wengers reign. I would give all my kingdom away for Diaby to have been injury free and in full flight in an Arsenal shirt. It's a testament to Wenger as a top human being for standing by Abou for so long. Forever a gunner Abou.

Diaby, what a talent! He was the replacement for Viera, possibly more skilful. The post Henry team had such promise.... Fabregas, Van Persie, Rosicky, Diaby, Hleb, Adebayor, Eduardo, Nasri..... we celebrate the brilliant crop of current youngsters, but that 2007/8 team had so much promise but is now forgotten.
