7:08 - Quick correction: the LSAT is also available on Mob of the Dead. Also, don't sleep on the Gorgon. It can one-shot in the head up to round 24 with PaP and Double Tap, which, for an LMG, is seriously impressive. I love using it for camping on The Giant.

The BO4 LMG slander! I’m a BO4 veteran. I have every weapon prestige 3 with Dark Matter. I’m also presige master on BO4 zombies being over level 800. In my experience, the Titan is not that bad. It’s a wall weapon and is very viable for high round camping strats. The Tigershark and Hades are arguably both A/S tier. Both are powerful, highly mobile and quick to reload. The Zweihander isn’t bad at all and I’d put it in high B or A mainly do to its fire rate and mag size. The VKM is the only LMG in BO4 that absolutely belongs in F. The explosive rounds suck and the fire rate is painfully slow. Plus it has no attachments.

I think the Dingo is the best of all of them, including the MG08, it may not be quite as powerful but the speed you have when using the weapon more than makes up for it, and BO3 base weapons had weapon kits, with fast mags and a bunch of other attachments it's easily a more solid pick on BO3 Origins

Unless the LMGs in BO4 got heavy nerfed since I last played, they were fantastic weapons (besides the VKM). The Hades and Zwei were easily top tier when max-pap and carried me through the 30s and 40s on most BO4 maps. I know there's a lot of hate for the PaP system but I'm starting to seriously wonder if there was no attempt to max pap any of them at all.

The HAMR being positioned in C and the RPD being 2 tiers above it hurt me a little bit ngl. I always remembered the HAMR being one of the best BO2 guns and was the go to gun for me to aim for high rounds. I do remember it having rough accuracy but I never found it a problem. But I was really young at the time of the game’s lifespan and was more of a casual player. So seeing this really questioned my memory and knowledge of the game. And weirdly enough I remember the LSAT being the worst LMG but still one of the best guns in the game. Maybe it’s time for me to replay BO2 😅.

Nah don’t worry c tier hamr is criminal. Not sure what grudge lex has against it. Got a a crazy ammo count, super fast reload with speed cola, quicker movement than the lsat and rpd, and the first second or so of firing will actually put out double the amount of bullets causing crazy damage. Easily the best lmg of bo2 behind the mgo8 if you ask me,

I wholeheartedly would like to speak my defense of the Gorgan/Athena's spear LMG. I can understand the hatred & mediocre comments behind this particular LMG, but when the stars align, with the right setup, especially when You finish leveling up, the gorgon is arguably the most powerful LMG in terms of raw damage in all of black ops zombies, here's why. Now at base value, meaning at weapon level one, the Gorgon still does the highest damage out of any LMG throughout black ops zombies, those stats don't lie. But the weapon itself has three big weaknesses that make the weapon abysmal. 50 round mag/Half the bullets, slow reload & rate of fire. The level one Gorgon as it is, it's easily D Tier. However! HOWEVER!!! EVERYTHING SURPRISINGLY AND DRASTICALLY CHANGES THE MORE YOU LEVEL THE GORGON UP. You want to focus on getting XP for this weapon solo before taking it into competitive. Once you've leveled up the gorgon to get the right attachments, those attachments being rate of fire & fast mag, those two attachments cover two of the weapons Biggest weaknesses surprisingly well. Lots of people may say it may not seem like that much of a difference, but believe me from experience first-hand, the base rate of fire & reload speed Is that noticeable. The Gorgon becomes a straight upgrade once you slap on these two attachments & the 50 round magazine size isn't that much of an issue & Makes the weapons serviceable unless you're really that much of a dense nitpick. Next, everything changes exponentially once you pack a punched it. For the Athena's spear takes away the weapons Third big weakness by respectfully giving it 100 round mag. Not to mention the damage output goes through the freaking roof with this weapon & The icing on the cake? Double tap 2.0 & speedy cola further, If not completely invalidates the Gorgon's rate of fire & reload speed weakness's & the weapon more than capable of keeping up with the Black ops 3's other LMGs. So with all this put into consideration to make the right build, with rate of fire/fast mag attachment, Athena Spear with special ammo type of your choosing, double tap 2.0 & speedy cola which combined with the previous attachments/PAP means three times the reload speed, three times the rate of fire & three times the damage from Athena spear, as well as double bullet damage from double tap, as well as any other attachments you like to include on the weapon itself, all that taken into account to invalidate the gorgon's weaknesses, concluding with a seriously high DPS overall, the Gorgon/Athena's spear becomes a force of nature & Will definitely get you to the high rounds past 50. Yes the LMG's will get you far, but not as far as Athena's Spear, cuz high damage absolutely matters in the high rounds. And before anyone comes at me screaming..."oh but Nathan, You glue yourself to the floor & move like a turtle with the weapon equipped, I'm more likely to get knocked out from getting cornered or zombies out speeding me, Cuz I'm just too slow to dodge or get away from them while strafing!" Keyword being, *weapon equipped* you dense mother effers! Use the gorgon as a secondary to keep pace & stay ahead of the zombies, then swap to the gorgon when you're far enough away, in a good camping spot to set up, or got a good strafing/circling train going on with the zombies. And again, Stamin-Up exists for a reason & covers LMG's slow movement speed without much issue! Problem solved! In conclusion, yes. It is a Hell of a grind to get the gorgon/Athena's spear to its full glory, but when you get there, and the planets align, the gorgon can stand proudly amongst its LMG brethren, including the BRM & Dingo, along with their packet punched variants. Easily bumping it up to A tier. S tier If you believe you had personal fun with the weapon once it's reached its full potential. So please, give the gorgan a second chance with all this in mind, for making the Tier list, using it gameplay wise in zombies, & Hope you all have a fun time while doing so to get experimental when using the gorgon. And to wrap This whole thing up, the 48 Dredge/PAP variant can easily have its own tier as the lowest of low. Way below F Tier or any other Tier below F. It is 'Thee' shit stopper, The constipation of LMG's as a whole, the big old moldy rotten milk sewage banana at the bottom of the mixed bag, A Bowel blockage so God awful that there is absolutely nothing in any universe that could possibly unclog it in any shape or form. Agreed. I can see the appeal for the Dingo. Good damage. Great ammo count. High fire rate. It's overall the best LMG objectively speaking. But in terms of damage, the Gorgon is the best, and if you know how to use it, it will get you to higher rounds.

The Hades being below the gorgon just shows how much hate BO4 got and how much its tarnished peoples perspective. The Hades is an amazing weapon when fully papped, its easily the best out of the LMG's, with the Zweihander in a close second. Titan was mid but not bad, and the VKM papped was absolute trash though. The tigershark is also underrated as hell, it has a tone of ammo, reloads fast (super fast with fast mags) and has pretty good damage. I would rather lex not rate the weapons iif he didnt use them, because i doubt he used for more than 5-10 minutes each around 4 years ago. Fowl ranking of BO4 LMG's, escept the VKM which was utter trash, everything else i agree with on the list
