​@falleninthemoon9073 I'm not sure if Alucard would reciprocate these feelings because he's practically immortal and knows that if he falls in love with someone mortal he can outlive them. So romance is off the table for him. On the one hand it is hinted in the games that Alucard does like Maria but it's never been fully explored so I'm not sure how it would go in the animated series. Maria, however, has a staunch hatred towards vampires but she can excuse those like Alucard. Coupled with the fact that her mother is a vampire she'd feel very conflicted about how she feels. But since Alucard is product of a vampire and human she can come to terms with her feelings for him. This would make Alucard and Maria essentially the next Dracula and Lisa.

I love the Castlevania series, but I'd wish they would go more in depth about the Belmonts. 9 GENERATIONS of history between Trevor and Richter? I understand they can't show it all in one season, but give us something. Other than that it's awesome.

I mean, even in the games, we don't get all of those generations because the stories that matter are the ones every 100 years where Dracula returns. So: Trevor, Christopher/Soliel, Simon, Juste (who actually had to deal with a between-cycle incident), Richter. There are in-between Belmonts but they never star in anything. We also got Leon Belmont in Lament of Innocence, waaaaaay back at the beginning, though he doesn't actually fight Dracula. After Richter, there's a big ol' gap until Julius Belmont in 1999, during which other characters take over the role of fighting Dracula. Since the Netflix-verse doesn't go by the same logic regarding a recurring Dracula resurrection, I'm honestly not sure what they could do with the Simon and Christopher eras. They're kinda story-light compared to Castlevania 3, Rondo, and Symphony and most of the story they have deals directly with Dracula.

At least in the games Alucard was still a young man in both mind and body (18 years old when he went to sleep for 300 years) to justify such a romance with the 18 years old Maria. Netflix Alucard and Netflix Maria are explicitly seperated by 300 years of both age and maturity for any such attraction to ever be shared by both parties. It won't happen unless Powerhouse Studios are a bunch of weirdos.

Old school vampire romance is still popular. Female audience still enjoyed centuries generation vampire falling in love with a young energetic yet caring women. In the game, it was canon Alucard had feelings for Maria in the Grimoire of the Souls when he heard ahe was in danger. It's not like he groomed her or raised her since childhood to take her away. I feel Maria and him would be seperated after next season and won't meet until 4 years later where she gained her SOTN look in her 20s. I hope they would adapt her feelings of acceptance of his vampire side and human properly.

@@blackraven3436 Refer to my comment above as to why a romance between the two makes sense in the _games_ but not the Netflix series. Also, there won't be a Symphony of the Night adaptation after they already redeemed Dracula back in the previous series, and they're already adapting the events of Castlevania Bloodlines which takes place 110 years after Shaft failed to resurrect the still evil Dracula. There's no way Powerhouse is pursuing a romance between these two iterations of the characters without been called out as a bunch of creeps in the process. Mark my words on that.
