I always wondered if the balance could be tipped in the other direction and then old man zangetsu would come out. He's technically a shikai spirit now

This is my least favorite form we see of him. Really the whole final arc choices with him for me were pretty poor. Very few actually meaningful fights for him. His Fullbring design which for me is the best design of all of them is swept aside so quickly after he gets it. Then We see pretty much nothing from his Shikai and even less from his Bankai. I would say Aside from the Ishida, and the Vizards, Ichigo gets sidelined to much. Overall I wasn't really satisfied with what little we get. I honestly can't even think of a single positive thing that happens with his character after everything but the rain.

Im hoping for the anime what they do with ichigos bankai is that after he activates it, him and Yhwach have a full fight with it showing everything and ending with Ichigo managing to kill Yhwach and then like everything turning black and white turning to static with the scene then transitioning to Yhwachs eyes and zooming out, Showing everything that happened was from Yhwach looking into the future of what happens if he doesn't stop ichigos bankai immediately, Then going to what happened in the manga of Yhwach destroying the bankai. Since i do think the scene of Yhwach destroying the bankai is a great thing showing his full might but disrespects ichigo far to much, Of course this also with extensions to the horn of salvation fight previously and the ending itself changing.

I agree with the whole ideia but I feel like having him fully defeat Yhwach just to then come back would feel bad at least for anime onlys, Yhwach actual defeat later would feel less cathartic, it wouldn't feel like "seeing God bleed for the first time" because the audience would've had already seen that. Maybe cut back a little bit before that would be better. Having Ichigo fully showcasing his true power while showing Yhwach legitimately struggling would be enough and would feel less plot manipulation (although that's quite literally what the Almighty does lol)

This form is the best but more importantly him reassuring Orihime that he's still Ichigo was an important and effective moment especially given her past memories of Hollow Ichigo's rampage with Ulquiorra. It was a heartwarming moment before battle and foreshadowed their relationship more so.

My favorite form of Ichigo. The name alone “Horn of Salvation”, is just such an awesome concept and matches perfectly for the form. To think we saw a version of this form all the way back agaisnt Ulquiorra. Sometimes I forget this form isn’t even his true bankai.

I think it's supposed to signify that even if he uses more power, it's been purified. And like a rallying cry, a literal horn, possibly for more vaizard, arrancar and hollow to unify against a new threat. It's great writing to me

This form better give him the strongest hierro and high speed regeneration just like when he is in vasto lorde form against Ulquiorra. Cause if not, what the horn and hollow hole for? In one panel ichigo block Ywach attack with his forearm without taking damage, it might be hit blut vene or hierro, or combined, it would be awesome if he has all those traits becoming the culmination of the his Trifecta Powers

My theory is that the "Horn of Salvation" form is supposedly his resurreccion. If a resurreccion unleashes a hollow's true form and power, then it makes sense that Ichigo would look like that, a form reminiscent of the fusion between Young Man Zangetsu and White Zangetsu... cuz that's the true essence of Ichigo's power, a combination of everything, hence why his resurreccion takes on that form.

The only reason I don’t necessarily agree with this is because in a separate panel with kubo, he revealed ichigo and the vizards are capable of using resurrection. When resurrection is used, the zanpakuto disappears.

What they need to do is let the Bankai fight play out. Then what they can do is reveal that Yhwach had used the All Mighty to see the whole fight in the future. And then he brakes Ichigo’s Bankai because he sees Ichigo kill him in the future. Either that or let him use his Bankai to its fullest after it’s fixed again and before the magic arrow head that stops all of Yhwach powers for a second is shot.

I don’t think yhwach can fight against ichigo bankai since every single time ichigo launched an attack at him in bankai it killed him instantly and that is without the extra enhancement of horn of salvation Kind of similar to how ichibei was literally flexing his way through yhwachs attacks and yet went down instantly with the almighty but even worse since ichigo power is much more suited for straight up fight instead of endless debuffs of power Basically same reason he activates the almighty as soon as ichgio even slightly is able to push him despite being able to break the grand ray getsuga with his bare hands and spends the rest simply trolling ichigo instead of like insta killing orhime or ichgio

If I was to make a guess, I'd say this is a partial Resurreccion. Ichigo was trying to draw out his Hollow power but doesn't have enough control over the individual parts to fully do so. He's just gotten to the point of equilibrium, so separating those powers once again is probably very difficult to do. As to why he's using Hollow? Well, he IS going against the ultimate Quincy at this point, and we know that Hollow Reiatsu is toxic to them. So, the way I see it, Ichigo has altered the state of his power thanks to forging Zangetsu with both spirits. Therefore, the 'Shinigami' power becomes the central state in which he channels the other powers as well. This is likely why his Bankai is comprised of all three of his powers. However, he should also have the ability to draw upon the separate aspects of power as well. Theoretically, Ichigo has access to his Resurreccion form as well as a Vollstandig form that could each be incorporated into his Shingami state. So, he should be able to use a combined Shinigami/Hollow form or a combined Shingami/Quincy form with them taking on the aspects of the individual spirit. However, because of Ichigo forging the other aspects of his power into his Shinigami power, I don't think Ichigo has a straight Shingami form.

I find the vollstandig form very unlikely since the sternritter only got this after being granted power directly from ywach. I definitely feel ichigo probably has his own unique Quincy forms similar to the ones in brave souls.

I think this form is awesome. It represents all of Ichigo's powers working synergistically. It bears a strong resemblance to merged tensa zangetsu, having complete mastery of Quincy, Hollow, and Shinigami, and Fullbring powers.

I've never cared all that much for this form. It looks alright, but as you've said in the past, it's a little messy and I think it doesn't feel very cohesive. It looks like it's just multiple forms of Ichigo mashed together. Hopefully we see what that form does in the future

My opinion about Dangai Ichigo is this: the Dangai Ichigo we saw in Deicide was the pinnacle of the power Ichigo had at his disposal at the time, and Ichigo has long since eclipsed that level of power. That being said, if Ichigo did it again, I'm sure that form would be the strongest thing in the Bleach cosmos.

I don't know how this isn't obvious to everyone else. Ichigo just did a bit of Jinzen for a few months and went to fight Aizen. Literally nothing extraordinary in the least. EoS Ichigo actually had extraordinary upgrades by the Royal Guard that made Renji go from bottom tier Captain level to making senior Captains look like chumps, with Shikai alone to make the power up even more absurd; and had an authentic Zanpakuto forged for the very first time. Ichigo fought Aizen with a pretend Bankai.

No to mention that TYBW Ichigo already had a massive head start over Ichigo before the Jinzen training: Fullbring Bankai Ichigo was exponentially stronger than FKT Ichigo's peak. We know this because Ginjo confused the air pressure produced by the normal swing of a sword from Ichigo's FB Shikai to be an upgraded version of Fullbring Ichigo's Getsuga, which was estimated by Tsukishima to have reattained the level of mixed powers Ichigo had in FKT arc.

Only remembering diferenty of the vizards Ichigo is no fused with an hollow, Ichigo soul is part hollow, the vizards never merged their soul with the hollow Aizen fused them, but Ichigo is not merged with anything, we can say that Ichigo, and his sisters, are the result of shinigame/human having offprings with quincy/hollow.

I see the horn of this form being a broken mask fragment making this form an Arrancar version of Ichigo's hollow mask as the horn was similar to merged form of zangetsu who had a horn with a bit of a mask fragment.

Dangai Ichigo is him accepting the hollow powers in more of an "I have these powers now and I'm not getting rid of them so I have to accept them" sort of way, whereas after The Blade is Me he knows that those powers were always his and it wasn't a failure on his part to not awaken his shinigami powers in time to avoid losing his soul chain and becoming a hollow. Also, Dangai Ichigo isn't consciously aware of the quincy powers he possesses either. So, while he's fused with his zanpakto, there's still some level of separation there. That implies that his true strength could be higher than that if he is capable of truly calling upon all of it at the same time. He just needs experience to get used to it.

I think the reason Kubo decided to make Yhwach destroy Ichigo Bankai is because he probably was so burnt out that he couldn't come up with a look, power, and abilities that properly showcases Ichigo omnipotent power that he has. You can tell because of how little he showed of Ichigo HOS form. This is why I'm excited for the anime to expand of this fight and I hope we get to see why Yhwach was shooked of his Bankai.

I think Ichigo has a half baked form of the peak of powers for every race and is mixing them. The final getsuga tensho is the same as Ishida did vs Mayuri. Peak of power, at the cost of losing all. Qincies then substitute it with volstandig, so maybe Ichigo can have access to a manageable final getsuga volstandig (quincy+shinigami balanced)... At the same time why not? Shinigami + Arrancar balance version, the "horn of salvation". And maybe an even more powerfull form using all 3 race powers at the same time.

i always felt like the final attack against YB was the quincy version of his final getsuga tenshou... i mean quincy powers are derived from YB himself, and i don't think it was made clear if defeating him wiped them out completely. however it does look like ichigo let go of his quincy powers for that final attack in the same sense as mugetsu robbing him of his shinigami powers. theoretically, regardless of if he did or not, there should be a potential form for ichigo where he can release all aspects of his powers into one single attack much like mugetsu. the fact that he pulls out different amounts of his power or "tips the scale" as he says always left me with the impression that ichigo had room to grow as he'd only just accessed his true potential and was in a hurry to stop YB. the idea is that his powers both exist within him but he's always playing around the balance between them to bring them out, but i always felt like there's a power beyond all of those that exemplifies both his being as a hybrid, and how that amalgamation of powers makes him a superior being (thus candidacy for replacing the soul king), in a sense, he should be able to *merge* his reiatsu into one transcendent type by figuring out a way not to balance his powers but to harmonize them so they don't cancel out but instead add up to a sum greater than its parts.

I think Ichigo's final form, be it bankai or beyond, has the 3 blend perfectly and in an ironic twist, not resemble any of the 3. His final form will encompass humanity. And I don't mean quincy. I mean disregarding "birthright" and embracing humanity's free will. His power is no longer tied to "I am a X" be it shinigami, quincy, or hollow. When his power becomes "I am Ichigo" that will be his peak. It harkons back to the beginning of the show, and shonen as a whole, the power of friendship make him strong.

So, my hot take is this: the Hell Arc will require Ichigo to go into Quincy mode because, unlike normal hollows, hell hollows are not part of the cycle of life and death. Therefore hell can become overcrowded, and Quincy powers can thin the herd

I've always had the idea that Horn of Salvation is Zangetsu's true Shikai ability. That to access all kinds of reiatsu and mix the balance between them to better suit the situation. Because we've never seen what Zangetsu's ability/power was. Getsuga Tensho was a technique that other people could use. There was no trick, no gimmick. As such, that "form change" you suggested may be what Zangetsu can do. And honestly, it'd be really cool, very reminiscent of Kamen Rider, with Ichigo doing a full "Henshin! Form Change! Cast Off!" sequence and shifting between different mixes. As for the Bankai's ability, perhaps it's a true 3 for 3 fusion. Or perhaps the chosen form in Shikai is enhanced by the other reiatsus while in Bankai (hence why True Tensa Zangetsu has the white blade that hides the original Zangetsu, one much more tied to Hollow powers than Quincy).

Personally I prefer the designs from Brave Souls, the most direct comparison would be the 2nd anniversary/Artbook design. While I can appreciate thematic reasons for ditching the mask, there's no denying having it looks better, and the half mask in a way lets you have that cake and eat it too. Also, it may be subjective, but I prefer the longer hair, bringing over another aspect of the wild hollow, and with that I have to question what's with the hairstyle of the horn of salvation, experimenting for his adult design?

If HOS is needed for bankai, it may be that which ever form he expresses more of is the bankai. So like his HOS form we see would have had an Resurreccion bankai. Soul Reaper could be mugestu as bankai, and then if the HOS resembles quincy it could be a Volstendich. It's a tad bit of a stretch but I think it could be.

One of the biggest things the TYBW dropped the ball on was ichigo new powers. He goes through a whole training arc only for us not to really see what he’s now capable of. What should of happened is he had multiple fights. The fight against the bambi’s doesn’t count as he was way too strong for them and also ended too soon. They also just had Askin offscreen him. He shoulda had to fight Uryu or Hashwslth. That way we could get a real sense of what his power level was. By that point Yhwach was to broken to be beaten by conventional means or without similar capabilities. Not to mention the terrible decision of breaking his bankai again?

I'd think while it's not a Resureccion, it acts like one and is his version. His inner Hollow melded back with his body, it's not a Resureccion but that's still the definition of one. It makes me wonder if not only like you said, that he has a Quincy half power, by flooding the other blade with Hollow Reiatsu to make it react and absorb Reishi, but if it would in turn mimic Vollstandig in his own way. I doubt he has one where his Shinigami power is prominent because I think the point is that it's all his real Shinigami powers now, the Shinigami powers are always prominent and are the core of each side of Quincy and Hollow. It's also weird that if Ichigo's Hollow and Shinigami powers are supposed to be one in the same or two sides of the same coin that his Quincy powers (Zangetsu) are opposite of, that Mugetsu (a supposedly Shinigami dominant power) DOESN'T look Hollow influenced at all and does look more like Zangetsu. Since the whole point was that Zangetsu was essentially pretending to be his Shinigami powers/became them due to being called them - if Final Getsuga Tenshou/Mugetsu was supposed to be Shinigami based yet his 'Shinigami' powers were actually Zangetsu (his Quincy powers), and Zangetsu did teach him Final Getsuga Tenshou - it may very well be that Mugetsu also is Quincy based power (Zangetsu) pretending to be Shinigami power and is prominently Zangetsu based, NOT Shinigami/Hollow Ichigo based. Mugetsu could be a proto Vollstandig pretending to be a Shinigami power. It DID happen to also "get rid of his powers 'for good' but could be revived" like Uryuu's Letzt Stil. An opposite of Horn of Salvation might simultaneously be Mugetsu influenced and BECAUSE it'd be Quincy/Zangetsu based, but also a reflection of his Shinigami powers as his Hollow side also is now.

Orihime's powers reject cause. Yhwach brought the broken zangetsu from the future. Orihime can't fix the sword because it hasn't been broken yet. There is no cause for it to be broken. Tensa Zangetsu was broken by default until Tsukushima inserted a past in which it was never destroyed. Orihime can't fix the Yhwach Tensa Zangetsu because it's supposed to be Broken, but She can fix Tsukishima Tensa Zangetsu because it was never broken.

The multi-form for Ichigo would make a lot of sense considering we've seen many Captains have multiple powers. Yamamoto being probably the best example with his cardinal directional Bankai.

The strongest of the shinigami need to have their power sealed (with the flower tattoos) when going to the human world. Ichigo has no such sealed but lives in the human world. In the hell chapter he has his original, non-true-asuchi, shikai not his "true" shikai. I believe this is because he is using his Old-Man Zangetsu (Quincy) powers to seal his reiatsu while living in the human world. This explains the "regression" of his powers.

Wanna hear a proper crackhead theory? Ichigo's new form resembles Ulquiorra's Segunda Etapa, and maybe that isn't a coincidence. Hear me out. Quincies are a subset of Fullbringers. Fullbringers are inheritees of Soul King fragments, and Quincies are recipients of Yhwach's own soul, which contains a fragment. Ichigo wasn't coincidentally born with a Fullbring, he's a Fullbringer BECAUSE he's a Quincy. Ordinarily a Quincy can't express their fragment as a Fullbringer, because that requires Hollow Reiatsu to awaken, which is lethal to Quincies. But Ichigo's Shinigami nature keeps that in check. Further proof of this is Ginjou being a SK candidate. To me, that implies that Ginjou is ALSO a Quincy. So either multiple people were subject to crazy ass coincidences, or... they're the same phenomenon. Anyway, back to the point. Ulquiorra has: An additional release which resembles HoS Arrow-shaped spears Green Fullbring-like Reiatsu In other words... I think Ulquiorra may himself be some form of Fullbringer, aka a kind of Quincy. And more importantly, HoS is Ichigo's Segunda Etapa. And my totally unfounded suspicion is that possessing a SK fragment is what sets Vasto Lordes apart from Adjuchas.

I've had this odd theory for a bit now that revolves around Ichigo. I think the anime timeline is the timeline in which Yhwach saw what Ichigo's true bankai was capable of so manga Yhwach destroys it before he has a chance to use it in the manga timeline. As for the video, as I stated before, I believe that by Hell Arc, he's probably had time to actually do what he wants with his powers at will. It takes 10 years to master bankai and wouldn't you know it, that's how long the final timeskip is. He probably has a much deeper understanding of himself and his abilities so he can do anything in his skillset at will. As for your "where does Ichigo go" question, I think he has to learn more about Soul Society's history by confronting the Original Gotei. Hell arc seems to be the culmination of everything that came before. There might be enemies from all the races ready to fight as they break out, and future allies from various races too. He knows who he is now, but maybe he needs to learn what his place is in the greater realm of things. What his unique existence means to the three realms. Just spitballing some ideas here.

I believe the final getsuga form ichigo had is the strongest but I also think we make the mistake of calling it a form. I think it’s better to call it a technique kinda like ultra instinct goku… In that sense it’s better to say that then if ichigo was to use final getsuga technique but this time brings forth all of his powers then that would be his strongest stage. Think about it. New base ichigo is way stronger now so if he uses the technique and bets it all it would defo be his strongest moment.

I think it would be awesome if Ichigo could combine his gran rey cero with getsuga jujisho. I'm picturing him using both blades to form an X in midair the way he does with his quincy blade for getsuga jujusho, but instead of the hollow/shinigami blade then slicing into the line in the air to launch, the attack, the second line also just sits in midair. Ichigo would then blast his gran rey cero into the center of the X, and the limbs of the X would then bend back and fly with the cero, forming something that looks like a giant arrow.

Ichigo could've been so versatile. Not just in forms but in abilities too. He could've had a soul reaper, quincy, fullbring and hollow form and then had a form that combined all aspects. And in his fight with yhwach he could've showed off each form.

Here's something I can't figure out: which portion of Ichigo's power is the hollow reiatsu tied to? Supposedly it was melded with the quincy power he received from Masaki, but it's also said that it's melded with his shinigami powers from Isshin. Yhwach "drains" Ichigo of his quincy powers and he thinks how the hollow power attached to it is also leaving him. How can reiatsu coming from the same source not all be completely intermingled? If the hollow reiatsu is mixed with both his shinigami and quincy powers, then is Ichigo's reiatsu divided into two halves internally, and the hollow reiatsu somehow also split like that? If it did, that's a little dumb in my opinion and not how reiatsu should work. If not, then how can those two reiatsus be mixed in the same thing but not each other? The perfect hybrid thing does work, but Ichigo being a quincy is the most tenuous and least impactful of any of his connections

A incomplete version of his true power - I like the idea that he can choose to focus either on his Quincy or Shinigami powers, depending on what works against each opponent.
