Hi, I believe 6b is incorrect. The answer given is 3/10, but is has actually been reduced by 7/10. (E.g. if you start with say 100 x 3 and then divide by 10 you get 30, which means it has been reduced by 70, not 30). By the way your videos are absolutely fantastic! Thanks!

@@MrTompkins yes I was very worried about the 2nd one as I left quite a few questions unanswered but I guess the rest of the papers balanced it out. Yes definitely doing a level maths!

you got question 8b wrong its 7 pounds as its ratio and you only did the top to bottom method

You’re quite right - I misread the question. If1/10 has been deducted, then 9/10 remain. So to get back to the original value, you’d need to divide 63 by 9 and then multiply by 10, giving the original price of £70. Therefore Jo has saved £7.
