Hello Mr Tompkins. Thank you for your amazing videos. In question 7, why didn’t you go straight to if one tap takes 6 minutes, two taps will take half of the time? Is that how they want it to be done?

Thanks for the positive feedback Marco - glad you are still watching! Yeah, good question. Work rates can really confuse students. This one is actually a fairly straight forward one. Normally they are of the variety "if it takes 3 builders 10 hours to build a wall, how long will it take 5 builders?". So I try to get students to think about how many hours work in total needs to be done first. You'd still get the marks your easier way though!
