Hey Arun - 8:33 - I did exactly that in my own garden. Dug up the flower bed, weed sheet and decorative covering - massively saves on maintenance. I wouldn't recommend this though - even though I did it myself - but I then spread table salt over the flower bed and wood border on top of the decorative stuff to stop anything growing. Just make sure you don't get table salt on actual plants! Haven't had to deal with weeds for months.
