For the game table top.. get some automotive/car sound deadening mats. They're sound insulating adhesive mats and applying them to the underside of the table top will absorb the reverb like you wouldn't believe. It WILL turn the loud clanks into low thuds for very little cost.

15:16 Believe me, maintenance every two weeks is not that bad. We have a medium small pool in our backyard, and OH MY GOD, there is so much maintenance. Every morning, I have to go outside, then empty the skimmer baskets, skim to get anything that didn’t drift into the skimmer baskets, check salt levels (salt chlorination pool), adjust salt levels if needed, check pump filter and pressure, clean pump if needed, check large sand based filter, clean large sand filter, roll the filter hose that all the dirty water comes out of, vacuum the pool every two weeks, put the garden hose in the pool, skim again, then I can go back inside

Yeah it is something i can only dream even if i had that much money. Our winter is -20 during the day and -40 during the night. This temperature lasts around 2 months. So not many technology would survive.

My fev thing about this "Dream House "series is that it's a treasure trove of creative ideas. Not necessarily the gadgets mind you (cause they are hella pricy and most people won't be able to afford them ) , but the knowledge and creative uses of things like lights,sounds,deaigns. Insulate the bottom of the pool table-top with some sound proof foam and adhesive spray! It will not only minimize the hollow sound when you play ping pong on top, but it will also help regulate the temperature. I am shocked they didn't do that from the factory. I saw someone else suggest sound dampening material for automobiles. That will work as well but won't help as much with the temperature.

It's a different way of being techy. Who else water cools their PC using their pool? It seems like the difference between the two is that you kind of have to be a techy person to truly grasp Linus's setup, but with Arun's you kind of just see it. Pool maintenance is definitely something to consider when buying anything pool related. We have a decently sized pool and it takes some time to keep it vacuumed and filtered but its totally worth it for a clean warm pool!
