Got mine in yesterday. It's a massive difference for me coming from an S10+. Happy about the new GB upgrade. Love how responsive it is and the speakers. When I need a new phone, it will probably be in 5+ years. So far a good investment.

The industry trying to force the 3.5mm jack out is the most annoying thing that just takes features from the customer. Then these companies either ignore the criticism or try to tell you how it's actually a good thing that the phones cost more and have less features, like they expect you to be grateful or something.

I haven't had a flagship phone since the S4.. so this is amazing for me.. the screen is insanely better than my last phone, and better than my SOs iPhone 13 pro max.. the sound coming from the phone itself truly surprised me.. the capabilities of the S pen has been fun too.. all around very happy with my decision to buy this

I think it's more a testament to Samsung lowering the bar consistently that any change is a welcomed one, even of it is worse in the long run. It's not significant or worthy of being called a follow up. In the conventional sense this would be called a revision and a sequel in name alone. I have Note 20 Ultra, which I bought as a pre-order when it came out, and it's still 100% like the day I bought it, no lag, no battery degradation, and no crashing or anything like that. If they reintroduced the micro-SD card, it would make a real difference. That external memory is so useful for large media files, either downloaded shows to watch on the go (perfect unlimited 5G doesn't cover the entire planet) or when you are recording a long event - say a recital or concert by a family member [one of the layers of hell BTW]. But for me no expandable memory is a deal breaker, these days it adds a TB… that can be swapped out in a emergency.

7:27 There is just a tiny example on this photo to show that the 100x zoom on the S23 Ultra has been somehow improved and that is that on the photo with the grip cover case. On the S23 you can see more of the rough texture than with the S22, and that is NOT only noise because on the S23 you can kinda make out that there are some white letters inside the case, whose say vertically 'SAMSUNG' , whereas with the S22, you only see a white line. The zoom with the face impressed me honestly. I did not expect that

I have used my S22 Ultra for a few months now, and I can't complain about anything. I moved from an S10+ so the jump was miles big and it really felt like it deserved the money even though I paid like 900$ for the phone. Seeing the S23 Ultra, I have to say that, even though I love the design of the S22, keeping it the exact same is not one of the best moves that Samsung made. Also, I bought the S22 mostly for the camera, which didn't disappoint at all. Seeing the new camera, I can say that it is definitely an upgrade, but I cannot say that it is worth to go from an S22 Ultra to an S23 Ultra. If you really need a better camera, for almost 1300$ it would be better to buy a DSLR and get better photos and videos, as the S22 Ultra has a more than good camera for day to day photos. I can see myself buying a new phone when the S24 Ultra appears maybe. Then the jump would be higher and the difference would definitely be worth it. I just hope that Samsung doesn't randomly decide to reduce the quality of the cameras with dumb software updates

A really great idea for a new vid, would be to do a head to head comparison between all the flexibility and features of Nova Launcher and One UI on the NEW S23 Ultra. I am convinced that the experience with the Nova Launcher is much better, but I'd love to see it go head to head with the One UI's newest edition. I tried to stay on the One UI skin when I first got my S23U, but kept running into limitations which made me long for Nova. All the extra gestures, instead of just three, allow me to really use my phone so much more efficiently. And having more choices for app grids on the home screen and app screen was a must, instead of being limited to just a few choices on One UI. Please do a head to head, and let's see if I'm missing something or not. Thanks.

I got mine yesterday. Coming from a Note 10+ and the difference is really noticeable. The screen is far more vivid, thanks to the new and faster memory chips applications get installed much faster, the camera got better as well, especially in low light environments. For users with S22 Ultra this is probably not that huge upgrade, but for me it was. The Snapdragon is definitely one of the best features of this phone.

On Samsung Canada's website, they offer me $800 trade in value on my S21 ultra (128GB), then $200 off the cost of the 23 Ultra because of pre-order, and $150 off (Cost $50) for a pair of ear budz 2. The 512GB version with trade in cost me around $850 Canadian. Saves me the hassle of trying to sell it private, my carrier in Canada doubles the cost of the phones and charges you like $60 a month for it and their trade in value was $350. The discount on the trade in, is applied right away at checkout and you don't have to send them the phone until they send you the new one. I was about to pull the trigger on the Pixel 7 Pro, but feel this wasn't a bad deal.

It's nice to have but when choosing a phone I would never consider speaker quality. So many other things for me to compare that matter more to me. I would understand it being important for low end phones, especially ones without a headphone jack. Getting Bluetooth headphones that aren't awful costs a decent amount of money, but if you're buying a flagship phone without a headphone jack and you aren't gonna buy Bluetooth audio devices I feel like you have a budgeting problem.

I recently went from an ASUS ROG phone 2 to a pixel 7 pro, and holy cow, the speakers on the pixel are far worse. Things like ringtones and notification sounds are genuinely hindered by a lack of a proper set of speakers-especially when someone like myself outfits certain people and applications with certain ringtones/notification sounds I personally believe a phone's speakers are pretty dang useful in everyday life. But I can also definitely see where you're coming from; I wouldn't make speakers a dealbreaker ever, but if I was stuck between two phones, I would definitely use speakers as a way to justify one, because at the end of the day, if you ever need to pop a quick song out, they can be useful in a pinch!

This video has most views, so I guess it's the right place to share my experience. I bought s23 ultra when it came out and it worked perfectly until I broke my own rule that I set for myself a few years back: never update anything that works!!! Ever. Use all in every method possible to block all the updates because logically thinking updates should ruin your phone. And everything was perfect except for the update pop-up. Every single day at random times a system update suggestion popped up. I tried different ways to stop it from popping up but it's still did and one time it almost costed me my life because I was getting to the car accident because of the pop-up on a turn I had to decide but couldn't see because at that second a system update suggestion popped up. Having that happen I decided well screw it I'll do it and let's see what happens. So I did the update. Shortly after I realized that my phone is slower it lags a lot it even got a few complete freezes where I had to restart it, and also the main feature I used since I bought it is gone I cannot put my KZbin in full screen anymore when using the split screen (two apps at the same time) no matter whether I tried with my fingers or the s pen. So now in order to make it work I would have to go to the repair shop and pay the money in order to downgrade my phone. Or I could do it myself possibly, risking to do it wrongly and turn my phone into a brick or even if I find the working solution it would take me hours to find it and also 5 to 6 hours to actually downgrade the phone without any trace of it being updated. I would probably have to delete everything off of it by hand using a computer and some advanced softwares which are also not free... Long story short never update your phones that is my experience because ever since Internet progressed in a way did today no update is ever going to improve anything. Because in my opinion if the companies were to actually improve anything with updates, the s 23 ultra software update here in particular, can you guess how many sales of s24 ultra they would have? Zero. And if they don't sell, you can only imagine the companies destiny... Because in reality this cannot happen. People will click on the update which will slow down and ultimately ruin their phone so they will have to buy a new am I the only one here thinks like this or ...?

Hey man, I LOVED my S10+ but with its declining health and a $800 trade in bonus plus a memory upgrade for pre order I couldn thelp but go for the S22 Ultra at release. The phone is amazing to say the least and even after a year I still appreciate its functionality on a daily basis. While I will not be upgrading to the s23 ultra since there is clearly no need for a few years at this point, my input to other looking to upgrade from an s10 or older model should definitely do so. Although I will say ANY time you sign a contract you will end up paying an extra $10-20/mo from something they wont tell you about no matter how much you do your research.

Thank you for your analysis. Any word about reparability? Did Samsung serialised battery, screen, port, etc? I'm a Pixel user, but I like to see what other good phones are doing. I'm impressed from the 4 years updates with monthly cadence, it is even better than Google. Plainly upset by the lack (from Samsung, but also from Google) of a power brick, a micro-SD slot, the audio jack and an user-replaceable battery. The inductive pen is a very poor substitute for the grandiosity of having a 1 TB micro-SD card in the phone, and listening audio without an headphone charging break. Thank you again!

still one thing i'm most curious is the battery life, that's the only reason I'm looking at S23 ultra because been using S22 ultra (snapdragon) for almost a year, I still feel that the battery life of S22u is totally mediocre with my daily usage of chatting and social media stuffs (no gaming), and the shutter lag (but still kinda okay). I hope to see a detailed comparison of battery usage test of S23U vs S22U snapdragon like you always did with iphones. Oh and a bit of rant, too bad samsung didn't make fully flat screen for the s23 Ultra, feel like missing or typo-ing some of the touches when on the edges of the screen.

Tbh, Samsung mostly upgrades the imperfect from previous gen, I have S22 Ultra, they've upgraded small things what they had from 21 and 20 series, even in S22 Ultra the main huge change was that they combined note series to S series, besides that it was same upgrades as now better camera and integration with social media apps. However, I feel like this time Samsung has gone for more of an appeal to new generation by making it “Environmental friendly” and aiming to improve video for mainly TikTok which has all the hype with Gen Z and Gen Y. The issue with non expandable storage and these frequent security updates is that the phone fills up so quickly there's not enough for apps as One bought s20fe5g 128g version it is ½full with 60％ being system within 4 months. Now being flagships being the one receiving fastest updates don't know how long you can keep a phone with low to mid storage. One understand most people have PCs to store images but that is just another thing to take care of and not easily accessible.

His videos are very well made and he puts a lot of effort into top down shots and robot shots (which were completely new and changed the way people shot review videos). But he has stopped including text in his videos (which is very bad for people who simply want to skip/watch quickly or are watching without audio). Another thing is that he doesn't include timelines or chapters hardcoded into the video (the same way Arun does). That means Arun's videos are not only far more informative, but also better organised, easier to skim and search through and also easier to watch without audio. But I still like MKBHD because he includes fancy music and transitions and extra shots.

I spent 6 hrs with both the s22 n s23 ultra yesterday, exact same phone, no like exactly the same phone, battery is trash on both of them, cameras the exact same quality maybe 5% difference but I had s22 photos come out better on a lot of shots. My one plus is notably brighter in a screen test. Plus the phones still ugly with its round edges. Colors look good for a funeral. Phone feels dead, easy pass.

i just compared my s21+ with s23+ and s23 ultra and find out that quality on s21+ is actually better when i took on my 64 mp comparing to 50mp on s23+ and even 200mp on 23ultra. I just zoomed max photos and it is really better. See no point to upgrade, except for the battery life - mine lives for maybe 8-10 hours on busy day, comparing to 12-13 hours when it was new even though dark mode is on.

@@jakewarner1993 did u use smart switch? if u did, then I think something corrupt from ur old phone came into the note 20 ultra. try backing up ALL your data, including photos, and then factory reset your phone. then set it up again
