Samsung S24 Ultra: $1299 - they have significantly lower costs because Google & Qualcomm supports 80% of them. No need to mention that on iPhone, you enjoy better optimized & designed apps, consistent performance for all users (Samsung is the only company selling 3 different processors with 3 different performances), and, most importantly, you receive OS updates on time, the very minute they are launched, not after a few months! The only one I found that could replace my iPhone is the Pixel 8 Pro. I didn't find the same problems with it that I find with Android smartphones. The voice command works perfectly (unlike other Androids where, for some reason, I can never get the voice command to work on the Gboard keyboard). Plus, when setting up a new phone, you can have an exact copy of your old Pixel, just like you do with a new iPhone. This isn't the case with Samsung, etc., where you have to put all the apps back into folders again, reorganize your folders, etc. In the end, I found the photo and video quality to be less good than on the iPhone, so I kept my iPhone 15 Pro Max and returned the Pixel. But now, I'm looking forward to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I'll be very happy to see Google reclaim its crown as the king of photography. They have the means and the talent; I don't know what's missing for them to achieve it. Having a disability, voice command allows me to write very quickly without getting exhausted, so for me, it's essential. Moreover, I don't understand why, when copying data from an old Android smartphone to a new one, you don't get an exact copy of what you had on the old one. You have to reorganize everything, recreate folders from scratch, etc. It's a basic feature, and Android is advanced enough to have this kind of functionality. I'll never understand.

Great review. For the record, the stronger glass isn't measured by surface scratches. Before you ask, I used to build secondary focusing mirrors for telescopes when I was younger, and I know a decent amount about glass. Nearly every item you buy that has glass in it has a coating, and that is what is scratching. The increased strength is more about impact resistance. The coatings are what provide things like fingerprint resistance, reduced glare etc.

I've had mine since Feb 2024 and I love it! I use dex when the wife is using my media PC to watch KZbinTV. My desk monitor is a smart TV and connects wirelessly! I no longer use my laptop because the S24 Ultra is faster! A Bluetooth Keyboard & mouse make this a real computer! The only problem is the sound level, it is not loud enough even on speaker. There is no way to raise the volume to an acceptable level. The windowing and pen control are great. This blows away my daughters IPhone, she wants one but is still paying for her IPhone. The hotspot works, I've had to let my sister use my Ultra twice when her internet went out. My phone connected three Smart TV's to the net, twice! Her IPhone hotspot didn't work, she couldn't connect to it after an hour of fighting with it. The camera is way better then anything I have ever used!

I literally just submitted my order for the S24U. Went with the “amber” whatever bc I want something that reminds me of the brass/gold under those warm-ass lights in old Victorian parlors near the old piano (assuming there is one… ours is under the stairs. I’m gonna start calling it “Potter”). To add, I went from an iPhone 3GS to a little LG smartphone, to a Samsung S3, then Note 4, S8, iPhone 11, S21, 15Pro, and now back to the S24 Ultra. I like both systems for the things that they each offer, and I reckon am a bit of a tech nerd. So, I don’t rule out checking out each system when something big comes along to catch my attention, but I’ll say that buying from Samsung directly for my S21 and S24U is absolutely the way to go. Trading them my iPhones have gotten me _so_ much off my purchase. Can’t recommend enough. The S-pen being on the left is a nice change… but I’m left-handed! 😅 It was awkward as hell for me as a lefty to get it from the right side of my Note4. So, I totally get the frustration.

I now have a much deeper knowledge of phones thanks to you. Your reviews are honest, fair, personal and always entertaining. As l have a wide taste in music, the bass is only one component and phones with louder bass is more of a put off. For me, the iPhone music quality has always been lacking. Great feature! If you're new to android and want the phone to behave even faster, reduce the animation settings to 0.5x. Search "build number" on settings and tap it 7 times to unlock developer mode. I reckon for Samsung to surpass iPhone, they should add a 3D Face-ID sensor, and software features that make the phone very secure, like Apple did. With those features, Samsung will be the best phone and most secure and reliable phone on the market.
@SiegEsports9 ай бұрын
Yea, they should also add multiple chips like OnePlus did with their new phones, so the phone can be better customised and fully utilised. Samsung should eventually make their own Chipset in their phone, and software, instead of relying on others (like Google, and Snapdragon).

After giving apple another try, I’ve been hating on my 15 pro plus but this video made me realize afew things I will miss about iPhone. That being said, there are many issues with iPhones that Apple should be embarrassed by. 1. Can’t close all apps at once 2. Can’t archive photos from library after putting them in a folder 3. Can’t archive messages 4. Delayed message send is very inferior and difficult 5. Can’t place apps exactly where you want without others moving around 6. Calculator Does not show your work so you can change stuff without starting over. 7. Can’t pause while recording a video 8. Copy and paste, copy does not stay on clipboard long.. actually does not have a clipboard just copy and paste which disappears 9. No restart option

I'm in love with my S24 Ultra. I was going to wait a year as I have an S23 Ultra, but I am glad I made the transition. The S24 is better in every way. I was not sure if I would like the flat screen because I really liked the curve, but I did not miss it, and after a couple of hours of use, I conceded that the flat one is actually better.S24 Ultra. There are a few little things that I would not have thought of but have proven to be very handy like the single swipe to bring the entire Quick Panel and the Navigation Bar set up. The Nav bar took some time to get used to, but I have had the phone for four days now, and it has become natural. I always had hidden buttons, but the new format is actually quite clever. The screen. OMG the screen. I cannot articulate how good it is, but the anti-reflection has to be seen to be believed. It is an incredible phone, continuing my tradition of having a Samsung Flagship at least every two years since the original Samsung Galaxy S. My goodness, that was 14 years ago!!!!!

I am so glad they killed the stupid curved screen. Well overdue. Curved means easy to crack. Not only that. The flat screen looks so much better. Curved screens were a gimmick and useless feature that cost users a lot of hard earned cash.
@TazR69 ай бұрын
@@inception69 I found the curve to be very useful. I never had an issue with them. It was a great concept that helped keep Samsung on the bleeding edge. I made use of the curve for notifications, and I really liked the look. That is why I had some trepidation going back to a totally flat screen. It was not worth worrying about though, as I was soon used to the flat screen and I now like it. I would have still bought one if it was a curved screen. It was not a deal breaker for me. While I did find the curve useful and unique, I do not miss it like I thought I would.

All of this sounds amazing. I’m one if the most loyal S series user, been using one since S3 up until S22 before I changed to 15 Pro. The S22 just feels clunky, slow, and gimmicky, even upright less reliable compared to my current 15 Pro. But hearing all these praises on S24 generation is making me SERIOUSLY considering either switching back to S24 series That is until you said that most if not all these services will only be free until end of 2025 😢 In my mind that feels like a massive punch in the guts, borderline scammy. Isn’t the main selling point of this generation are these AI features? If the phones are unable to use it’s most marketed feature without paying additional charge to Samsung, to me that makes the only difference between this and last generation is only about the telephoto camera, titanium, display, and color. Basically iPhone level incremental changes
