The optional Field Description also displays as help text in the Access status bar: when you create a Form based on the table, the Field Description will be displayed when the related Form control receives focus.

It's the screen cast software that I use that puts it there. Most screen casting software will have this option.

Access is great for basic database functionality. It is a bit limited when having multi-users at the same time but it is still possible. What you are describing sounds perfectly fine for Access.
