Maybe I would feel the same patriotism .. but I didn’t feel like I belonged in Nepal and the reason was that I was a bhutnese nepali refugee and mainly because my parents didn’t have any citizenship. We used to often get bullied by people because of the differences. I wish I felt like that about any country. I’m just lost.

I have worked for bhutanese nepali refugee community back in the US and I have found they are the best friendly people.

I tried to go to American but didn't got visa, my sister tried she got Visa, she went to America, and even my mom whole family lived there, so after hearing my sister conversation i realized i did a great job staying here, cause as being a elder daughter I have a big responsibility to look after my grandma and mom cause in my family there was no Male member so whenever someone used to get sick i had to look after them take them to hospital, and in my mind i thought how would family whose son and daughter are abroad would feel when they need love and care from there children the most when they are sick, but staying in Nepal i am happy if I also had went abroad my mom and grandmother couldn't know anything they both even don't know how to write in bank form, they even don't know how to repair the bulb of house, best part is I stay here in Nepal and do everything for them and I even teach them so many things They say na what happens happens for a good reason same like that happened with me in my life

You are just a chauvinist and couldnot adjust to others culture. The fear of being alone brought you back home? You didnt think of your own child happiness and just think of youself. I am pretty sure her son is citizen of usa. you dont want your son to move out and be independent?Thats wats wrong in our society...Prove me wrong so i can change my view😥

FYI my son is a Nepalese citizen and everyone wants their child to be independent after they are able to but being independent and being differently cultured is totally different thing! It’s just my point of view and others might the different ones! Thanks

@@binishaw Firstly congratulations for the bold move. Nepal defently needs a woman like you. Talking of culture western put there parents in old age homes thats totally selfish but i have heard many parent saying that they dont want to live with their child. They love there independence and they dont want to burden their child. In nepal only the son got to look after the parents not the daughter. Their are many elderly who are mis treated by the buhari and living like hell. So basically every culture have its good sight and bad.

@@Mayamilan2016 you are so right every culture have its good sight and bad but after living abroad I have felt that Nepali culture is the best one! If used properly, we have right values, right guidance from elder to younger ones, we care, we support! tara tai bich ma ek duee jana nalayak haru janminchan aba k garne hai! :) Show less REPLY

@@binishaw i used to think in same way like you do 10 years back. Every human being in earth thinks their own contry is great own culture is great. People do care of each other in every part of the world.
