Part of the problem was the studio portrayed her as doing everything alone and whilst that gave her notoriety it was also her undoing especially once it came out she had help and didn't want to pay the musicians who helped her. As talented as Lauryn is I also feel she didn't feel she was able to make an album as good as that first one and blaming the industry is a half truth If she really wanted to create music she could make an album and go indie Lauryn can also be uunprofessional e.g... infamously showing up late to gigs e.t.c... I love Ms Lauryn and she isnt crazy but she definitely is messy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 More than one thing can be true about a person

She is everything. In the Fugees she was a force and when she dropped the Miseducation… wow! That album is still a gem. I’ll never forget when it dropped, right before my freshman year at UCLA and this defined a whole era. When you create something so perfect… is there anything else? I’ve seen her perform live twice and I would always see her. She is a whole vibe. Her lyrics brought back the soul of Bob and that’s not easy to do. The truth is the truth, in this world we live in especially the entertainment industry it’s not a popular brand to sell.

Lauryn is the ONLY true artist in our modern day. Yes, she walked away from fame & fortune once she was aware of the literal demonic forces that run the entire entertainment industry. She chose Jesus Christ over the enemy, and took all of the media's hate and public bashing because of it and I respect her for that. Her Unplugged album was raw and heartfelt and was an incredible piece of work, but the media said it was terrible, unpolished and the album tanked. I have come to realize that the music industry in general works like a mafia. You sacrifice to get in, and you sacrifice to get out. Her sacrifice was public hate, prison, and a lawsuit that almost left her bankrupt. I applaud this beautiful and talented artist moreso than any other in the industry. The Lord protects those who believe in Him. ❤
