Hello, Arachnologist here! Maybe I can bring some knowledge into this. Molting problems are usually cause by the lack of humidity, or hydration. When a Tarantula is molting he/she requires lubrication, so they can leave the old molt with ease. If they dont have the proper humidity, roughly 60% or higher, the molting can't continue, resulting in the tarantula getting stuck in the molt, leading up to a very slow death... so for future reference, if you know your tarantula is getting ready to molt, make sure they have the proper humidity inside their encloser, or sadly, this will happen again. I hope this helps anyone else who has a tarantula, and needed this information.

A LOT of people don't know how to properly euthanize and Exotics Lair didn't want to just squish a HUGE tarantula. That doesn't always kill them either. This particular T is from a DRY area. Giving humidity is NOT good for a T that is native to DRY areas. Stuck molts are NOT always caused by caretaker neglect and most T owners would say that a stuck molt like THAT is lethal. Tarantulas are an EXOTIC pet and not a lot is known about their care.
