I mix 40:1 for the reasons you state in this video. I switched to Honda HP2 oil as a result of your testing and opened up my third pint last week. I like it. Thank you very much!

I’ve Replaced A Few Of Those Boots on The 661’s The AV Mounts Get Worn and The Tank/Carb And The Crankcase Pull Apart And Rip The Boot Especially If The Saw Gets Stuck in a Cut and The Owner Pulls Hard on The Handle To Get The Saw Out 😬😬😬

Another great video Richard, always so nice to have you share your knowledge and insight. I realize that producing these videos takes a lot of time and effort, greatly appreciated. Thank you! I honestly can't understand why you haven't broken the 100,000 subscriber threshold yet. Your channel is an undiscovered gem!

For the average operator under most circumstances, i know m-tronic and autotune are a godsend. But their ability to mask leaks so well is one downside IMO. Glad the cylinder cleaned up beautifully!

This cylinder cleaned up really well AP!

I know I am fortunate to buy Schaeffer‘s in this area retail for 30 cents per ounce. I use the boat oil 32:1 with 91 E-free. That cylinder cleaned up great! I guess that‘s one downside to using a different piston once something happens down the road and you‘re SOL. Great job!👍

Red armour works great. Hate to see that happen. Glad some things were salvageable.

Crazy that she'd even run with the big a tear in the boot. Score 1 for m-tronic and 0 for the piston. 😉😉

Yeh, good to add a limiter to the spring travel so guys don’t rip boots when they reef on the saw when it gets pinched. Would you run just the top ring? Lots of guys do that…
@richardflagg308427 күн бұрын
If I had to, yes. There's enough of the cylinder wall there to run both.

Is that torn intake boot issue more prevalent on the 661 than other saws or is the issue common in all larger saws subjected to heavy use?

Thanks Jason, I appreciate the offer. Port work was originally done with a factory piston. I never got around to the additional mods after the Wiseco was installed.
