I get how everyone writes canon that eijun is gonna end up with Wakana because it's the thing to do, and this story isn't shounen-ai or yaoi, but come on, if the writers don't wake up and smell the java joe they're mental. I'm not saying turn it into a romance story or whatever, but you'd have to be dead as a doorknob to not to notice they're practically soulmates. Nein, not practically, DEFINITELY soulmates. And if the writers are writing lines like "Pitchers are a perfect combination to make perfect art" or calling each other "partners", then well.... i rest my case. What hurt the most was episode, 15,16 and 17, them not treating Eijun with respect, i felt for him really i did. It HURT, like a lot, I mean that whole line Eijun says; "Is this how much trust an Ace gets?" that hurt, because he easily places his trust in the team, in the coach and most of all in his catcher-Miyuki, and yet, he keeps getting waylaid like he's just their relief.. it sucks!

i feel you. i love this show so much but its so hard for me to rewatch some episodes because it hurts to see how underappreciated sawamura was sometimes. im so happy for him though, and so freaking proud of how far he has come. not just that, but how far he can go. gah i just wanna hug him.

Exactly, like he deserves so much more recognition! And when the other characters do recognize him, they either dont say it to his face or they insult him afterwards! I feel like it would be nice for them to make sure Sawamura feels like they are being sincere ya know? 😭

Every time when I am watching such videos I am thinking about how much the team changed since the decision that Miyuki will be the new captain of the team. At the beginning there were a few problems and because of that it's really amazing how Miyuki has grown into his role as captain

The video is beautiful… I also think sawamura is way under appreciated… like they take him for granted. Any clutch situation he is always there to pitch his fullest …. Even when he is not playing he always lifts everyone around. Him wearing the ace jersey was the most emotional thing ever ..I just hope the mangaka gives him as much appreciation as he gives to Furuya.

It's hilarious that this thing is very similar to what happened in teen Wolf. Who knows who was inspired first, probably Teen Wolf by this manga, because Scott tries to use Derek's lines to Liam in season 4 and Stiles just dies in the background... :')

I don't know if you found it yet but, i'm pretty sure he does that more than once. I just watched one of them and I think it's either episode 40 or 41 of the first season 😐
