Howdy from Texas! Thanks for filming your trip! It's nice to virtually "get away" for a bit and hear your critiques. We're not familiar with MSC at all. You're so comfortable with American dining now, I bet your friends at home would enjoy a "What to Eat in the U.S." video. I always enjoy getting a tour of a country's native cuisines before I go places- you know, what local people actually eat there. I would not have known to try scones with clotted cream and beans on toast for breakfast without tips from a native Brit! Can't wait to see more!

The ship looked great, sad that the service didn’t match. Like you said “you’ve been spoiled by Disney” I hope our first experience is as good? The room looked a little small, but that might just have been the camera. Finally, trust you to find the Chocolate Bar. 😂. Bring on the rest of it, especially Nassau as we will be visiting there on our cruise.

Definitely spoiled by Disney! The room as actually excellent! It was modern and bright and the best was so comfortable. I think I preferred it to the inside room at Disney! But yes the other stuff outweighed it dramatically! I know haha I'm like a magpie for choc! Thank you for watching!!

Hi Claire. We watched this on our T.V. last night, and I forgot to comment. The food at the buffet place looked good. Such a bummer with the service at your dinner restaurant. It looks like a pretty ship. How nice to go on a ship that is so new. The room and bathroom reminded me of the new Royal I went on in November; except we had a balcony like Simon’s parents - also looked the same. I like that they offer a matching of status for platinum Disney members; nice benefit. The MSC reminds me of the Royal Caribbean ships I have been on. RC are pretty ships but the service, entertainment and food were not up to par and the noise and crowd level were always busy and loud. How awful that you waited an hour for your meal and then they kicked you out. Looking forward to the rest of your vlog series.

I was aboard the MSC Seaview in September and it was really good! Very good food options, lots of entertainment, clean everywhere and lots of pools :D

Haha well our family had booked it already and we joined them for Christmas. We loved all being together for Christmas and seeing the new countries but yes everything else was definitely beaten by DCL haha. Thank you for watching!

Oh my goodness; so many people and so loud! I`ve seen both good and bad opinions on MSC, but to be fair, with it being only the third voyage I think they`re still settling in to their routine. They can rehearse the crew all they want but it`s not the same as actually dealing with hundreds of people on board. I hope the cruise got better I`m looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.

Yes it was so busy and so loud! Definitely not what we're used to! I think there were over 5300 on board! Yeah it was new which would have affected dining maybe but not the other things. We enjoyed seeing the new countries and being with family though so that's all that counts!

Been on many cruises, but not with MSC. We have one booked and leaving in 4 days on this very ship. We are really excited.

We paid over £2000 for this week which is definitely cheaper than Disney. But it's still a lot so you would still expect good service etc. Definitely been spoilt by the magic haha but we still had a good time and went to places that the Disney cruises don't go to :) Thank you for watching!!

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip. I sailed on Disney once, and I was not impressed at all....except for the entertainment. You cannot beat Disney's entertainment for sure. While on Disney, my sister got food poisoning, and honestly, the food was horrible. I'm curious as to how the rest of your trip went, so I'm off to watch more...TFS.

Ah sorry to hear that! We've always loved the food on board DCL. Yeah you truly can't beat Disney's entertainment! The entertainment on this one didn't come close. But it's different and it's great to see something new!

I'm really not a fan of all the bright, shiny chrome and other reflective surfaces. It looks and sounds like the ship is very overwhelming!

Yeah the ship truly was extremely busy, not had that before on the Disney cruises. I know what you mean about the chrome, definitely different but I did like that!

Yeah definitely. Though we paid over 2 grand and I think I'd rather put that towards a Disney cruise ;). We had a good time with the family though and it was great to see a different cruise line!

Just done 2 weeks from Miami very disappointed in rooms in staff and food it gets sad the same thing for two weeks entertainment was terrible it was like ground hog day on a ship same food same entertainment we ported at one place 3 times there own island it was only ok the first time lol the ship was beautiful but not enough staff for size and they struggled Wi-Fi cost me a fortune nearly £1000 for my family of 6 plus no supplements in paying restaurants they cost a fortune as well there’s more staff trying to sell you stuff then serving costumers

How much is a Disney Cruise compared to MSC? I’ve been on a few Disney cruises, P&O and Cunard. Disney food is outstanding but Cunard overall is our favourite. I think Disney cruises are overpriced! - just my opinion.

That's fair enough! MSC was cheaper, we paid just over 2 grand for the week. But I think I would rather put that towards a Disney one in the future. Like you say just opinion, everyone is different :). I'm glad I tried it though and I would never have seen those countries if I hadn't!
