Getting super excited..4 days til embarkation on our first MSC cruise with the yacht club experience I just want to say THANK YOU Chris & Beth, I feel prepared for what's to come, I just wish we were stopping at the lighthouse.

OMG so excited for you and to be in YC on your first MSC… good for you. Starting out with the best!!! I’m happy we were able to give you some good information. We went looking for it before our first YC and just couldn’t find much so we decided to fill in that gap with the Meraviglia series. Glad you enjoyed them and have a super time!!!!

One of our favorite bars on Ocean Cay is the Lighthouse Bar. Our least favorite is Springer's Bar. We have never had good luck at that bar. My take away for the pricing / package / rate debacle..... Always book Yacht Club. 🤣

YC solves everything! When adding all the included benefits it winds up to be cheaper to book YC most the time than booking a regular balcony and adding similar benefits. We LOVE the Lighthouse bar as well, live music, huge space, and it’s rarely more than half ful”.

14-16 EUR so not super expensive, just not included. And you’re not supposed to do a whole nighter there, the entertainment loops after an hour. But the concept is sooo cool!

My mom and I are going to be on that same cruise in June! We actually just sailed the Seashore in the Yacht Club a couple weeks ago. Thanks to all your informative videos we took the chance on an upgrade bid. It was an amazing experience! We're hoping to have the chance to upgrade again in June, but have yet to even receive a room assignment. If you need some fun extras for your next bar crawl, let us know (even without a drink package)!

Chris needs to make a MSC drink called the 10CC! LOL We did the Yacht Club in March of this year on the Seascape and all the drinks we ordered regardless of where we ordered the drinks from were included. We did order top shelf drinks from the ¡Hola! bar (from our Magic 8 ball pub crawl) and we didn't get charged any extra.

Really looking forward to our first MSC cruise on the Magnifica on Friday. We booked a guarantee stateroom and we’re assigned to a deluxe balcony! We have the easy plus drink package and I know that specialty coffees are included. I was trying to look through the deck plans for where the coffee shop is, is the coffee at the Le Gocce Bar included or is there a specific location we need to go to for the specialty coffees that would be included in the package? That’s awesome that you were assigned a deluxe balcony… we had that junior balcony and loved it! Le Gocce Bar coffee is included… we’re pretty sure coffee anywhere on Magnifica is included since it doesn’t have a Jean Philippe Vente Chocolate Shop onboard. (Or Starbucks🤪) There is a bar close to the buffet that does morning specialty coffees, too. Have a wonderful trip!🥳🤩🥳

The other thing I wonder regarding upgrades, is if you get a better chance by putting in your bid earlier. I know you won’t get the offer until you are paid in full, so if you pay in full before the 90 days, does that provide any advantage?

Pretty much any beer they have onboard… all draft beers, Heineken, Miller brands, Corona, Budweiser, Michelob, Yuengling, Coors, Sam Adam’s, Blue Moon, and more… we don’t drink beer, but it sounds like a large selection. Thanks for this video!! We are looking to book a cruise in June 9 the to the 16th so I confused on msc site because we are used to princess. If you don't mind me asking how aggressive is agressive when bidding like around $500 or more? Just looking to see if it's worth it.

If you are talking about bidding for a room… we always say spend what you need to to have the experience you want to have once on the ship. If you really want YC or Aurea… bid at least middle bid to get a better chance. Aggressive $$ is a personal choice but don’t go cheap and then regret it once you are on the ship

Our travel agent just does cruises. Drink package prices are per person (unlike cruise rates… even though MSC has some solo cabins now)

So if there is one inside yacht club cabin available & the following are bidding the same amount except: Cruiser1- inside cabin & already paid for drinks & WiFi Cruiser2 - inside cabin -that’s it Cruiser3- inside cabin & Diamond member no drink package Is the choice random? What is the criteria? You would think that a lower bid would get accepted from someone who already purchased the drink package vs. one who did not & the Voyager Club Status factor in?

Yeah… we have no idea what method they use to choose their upgrade winners. Sure wish we did, we’d use that method every single time!!!😊🤪😊

Would you be willing to check into the costs of getting the drink/internet package when booking *solo*? I was looking into it a few months ago, and as far as I could figure out, MSC charges solo's double to add that. Like, the additional cost on top of basic cruise cost is the same for one person as it is for two, even though it was a drink package for one person and wifi for one person. I can understand costing extra to book the cabin as a solo, but to be charged for two people's use of drinks and WiFi when you're only consuming one person's worth of them..... Ugh. I ended up booking cruise only for that trip, then got WiFi streaming after booking .

What you did might be the best option. 😏 Most cruise companies just aren’t very kind to solo cruisers and that’s a shame.

If you discover that your package is not the right fit for you, can you upgrade the drink package once on board the ship? Say from the Easy Package to the Easy Plus Package?🍻

Yes you can… we’ve never done it, so can’t tell you what the process is, but it is possible. They even mention it at the bottom of some of their drink menus. 😊
