On my recent cruise on board the MSC Meraviglia, I booked an Aurea Stateroom, and of course, I am taking you on a full tour and review of this stateroom! No stone left unturned! I also share some tips and tricks to make your next cruise experience easy and hassle free, and maby save you a few bucks!

My fiancé and I are having our Wedding ceremony on this ship in Fall 2025, more specifically at Ocean Cay, so we greatly appreciate the feedback. We also have a group of over thirty passengers joining us for our wedding, so any feedback we can take in is great. As the bride and groom, we also reserved an Aurea cabin for our sailing, so your explanation of all the perks is helpful. Great video, and thanks again!

Thanks for the comment and feedback! Congratulations, and I hope all works out well. The Meraviglia is amazing and I found the Aurea stateroom catagory to excellent. If you have status with another cruise line or certain hotel chains, they will match your status which will get you more perks. Go to MSC website and see if you qualify……free perks make everything better!✌️✌️✌️

We're looking forward to our Aurea experience this January. We ended up with a deluxe balcony cabin on the 11th floor. Last June, we enjoyed our first ocean-going cruise on board the Holland America MS Volendam from Boston to Montreal. It was very relaxing, and room service was free (food and delivery, but a limited menu). The food, no matter where you went, was great to incredible. In July 2022, we took a 5 night 70-passenger riverboat replica cruise down the Ottawa River from Ottawa and up the St.Lawrence River to Kingston Ontario. Great fun and definitely an experience.

With Aurea-You also get to choose your stateroom from the selection they display to you.

Thanks for the comment, I decided to expand my horizons and try something new! It also gives me an opportunity to compare other lines to my mainstay, Celebrity. Lastly, I am not very impressed with all the cutbacks, increases and reduction of service on Celebrity over the last year……..so……there are many reasons, however I do have two more Celebrity cruises booked this year so more content coming soon!👍👍👍

My stateroom attendant told me they do not have them in this ship, but many other ships do…….i am told MSC mattresses tend to be on the hard side…….

Yes, make sure to try the Butchers cut steakhouse and hola tacos………they also have a sushi restaurant and a tapinyaki grill as well……..all specialty dining……

About those two bottles of bubbly, you get one for being Aurea on embarkation day. It is one of the perks of the Aurea Experience. The other one could be linked to your tier on their loyalty card. On my last Xmas Mediterranean cruise it was like that. Got one for Aurea experience and one for the Black/Diamond card level. They are not bringing more than those two to the cabin. Of course, unless different conditions apply on different markets. Surprised about those chocolate covered strawberries. Normally you would get some macarons. Either the ship ran out of those and had to replace them somehow, or different rules apply for the American market. 😅

On MSCs details of Aurea privileges, it doesn't mention Macarons. Only Prosecco & Chocolates. So maybe on that occasion, it was the stewards gesture 🤔

@@Podgey25 My best bet is that for any reason (not enough availability perhaps) they replaced the chocolate-covered strawberries with macarons. As to the two bottles of bubbly, we asked the cabin steward for a wine chiller for those and we took them with us to enjoy during dinner at the MDR. We thought it was a great thing to do given the very limited selection of wines included in the basic (Easy) drinks package.

The breakfast at the cabin if you want some eggs and pancakes do you have to pay extra even with the aurea package?

Yes, MSC charges for the hot breakfast items, however there is no delivery fee/ service charge……continental items are free…….👍👍👍

Where did you plug in your cpap machine?

I use a power donut with a ten foot extension cord attached to it. I keep it in the cpap bag with my cpap machine. Never have an issue bringing it on board. @@TheBussman on princess, royal and cunard there was a European plug on the wall under the bed I plug into with a converter. On cunard I had to unplug the bed lamp since only one plug.
