MSC Virtuosa - Bruges Christmas Markets - Trying Belgian Waffles & Chocolate - We Love This Place!

In this Video we have now arrived at Zeebruges onboard the MSC Virtuosa, If like us you want to visit Bruges itself you will need to get a couple of buses to get there which is really easy to do and we go through with you the process of doing this.
This was our second port that we visited, whilst onboard the Virtuosa, and we were really excited to visit not just Bruges but the Christmas markets in Bruges as well.
So come with us as we show you what the markets have to offer and as always in true one couples adventure style we MUST Try some delicious food. So will we be impressed by Bruges and the Christmas Markets? ... Well, watch and see 😁

Yes, I've been to Bruges before, nice drive from England/Dover, ferry to Calais, drive up by the A16 motorway, in no time we were there, in fact, that cobble street, was where we left the car, and after that weekend, back to England via the Euro tunnel, which is not far from the Calais ferry terminal. Oh yea, those Belgium chocolate shops, heaven and hell together, so good and yet so bad to our belly line.

Love the cobbled roads and architecture there in Bruges, Kev and Stacey. Lovely Cathedrals and we could even pronounce St Salvatore! Enjoyed the market and would love some "Cheese Madness" along with the sausage! Oh dear. Who could hate cheese? The Belgian Waffle would make a great desert! Don't know as of yet what we'll do for Christmas here in AZ, but have already been to see the Christmas events and decor in Disney Springs while we were in Florida, recently. Watching your vlogs cuz I 'm going on the Virtuosa next month from Zeebrugge. You really have to come back in the summer, not only to go to Brugge but you can enjoy the seaside in Knokke or Blankenberge. If you come with a ship and you don't like to go to Brugge with the coach, just take the tram outside to go to Knokke, you can walk for miles on the boardwalk 😉

October 2019 my friend and I visited Netherlands and Belgium, by train. My favorite city was Bruges, and also loved Ghent then Delft in Holland. If I could pick a city to live in it would be Bruges. It was so pretty and had tons of things I wanted to buy. I’ll have to go when they have their Christmas markets. I loved their Liege waffles made with pearl sugar, their little poferkes (spelling?) and a round doughnut thing that is better than a doughnut. Love this vlog.

Probably too late to let you know, but you should definitely, or actually visit the Christmas Market of Brussels, the largest in Europe and really nice. Belgian Christmas Markets aren't on just one square like in Hamburg, but spread through the city on different squares. In Brussels there is also a sound & light show on the Grand Place which is really nice. I think you went a bit too early, Christmas markets you shouldn't really visit in the morning, but late afternoon and evenings. I really hope you will visit Brussels one day! :)

Went to the Christmas markets in Bakewell (Peak District) a couple of weeks ago. Did 3 in total, Bakewell itself, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth. They were lovely but everything was so expensive including the food.

It was about 1 mile to the main market. No, it wasn't hard. As we always say, save the location of where you get dropped off in google maps so you know where to go

Hello guys, We are loving your channel! We are going on the same cruise from Southampton tomorrow. We were wondering what the best options are to get to Paris from Le Havre? We are trying to decide if we should book a tour through the ship, which seems quite expensive, or make our own way there and back! Thanks guys!

Thank you. Well if you go with the ship excursion you get about 4 hours in paris. If you go by coach or train its about a 5 hour round trip. Not sure about train prices but for us its a lot of travel for not much time in paris.

We’ve just got back from a new year cruise on P & O Arcadia @POcruises and also visited Hamburg and Bruges and loved the destinations , not so much the ship which was very disorganised . We want to try MSC . You certainly get some bargains when you cruise. Do you have a favourite ship and what agent do you normally use to book with?

@@OneCouplesAdventuree had to constantly queue for the restaurants @pandocruises ( usually for 30mins +) and never able to get a table for 2 and had to share with others . Totally different experience to the Iona. #pandocruises To make matters worse there was a norovirus outbreak during our cruise (there had also been cases on the previous cruise) but they still insisted on seating people together on tables. Only brought more stringent sanitisation measures after the outbreak which was a little late in our opinion. General feel and standard of the ship was not for us. Thank goodness this was our second cruise with Iona being so good, as I think it would have been our last. Look forward to seeing your next cruise vlog.

After watch this vlog we went for the cruise express. Sadly what was never mentioned is waiting over an hour to get on the bus to get to bruges. We are still waiting at the moment so we are worried about getting back.

But it didn't take us that long because we got off the ship early, which you can see in the video. Why would we mention something that didn't happen to us. What time did you get off the ship? We can only vlog our experience which we showed. We wouldn't of known queue times could end up being an hour

Either. We booked the night before whilst in port. If you prebook, you are meant to have priority
