Thank you for posting your video. We are sailing on MSC World Europe in 3rd week of August from Barcelona. Hopefully, the Barcelona port is better organized than the port in Dubai. I am sure because it is sailing from the Middle East the cultural mentality is very different from the USA. Europe is also very different from the USA. I spent my summers aboard as a child and I always notice the difference when it came to customer service. Anyways, in regards to the muster drill each room has a special code that you must use when confirming you watched it. Your mother's room may have not been registered since all of you watched it in your room. That is my guess.

You're welcome! Thanks for watching, and happy cruise countdown! We definitely hope your embarkation experience is better too! With regard to the muster drill, we definitely did it correctly. Allan and I watched on his phone and got marked as complete before we went to my mother's room for her to watch on her TV, and she was marked as having completed the drill. That clip with us watching it was actually in my mother's room, which is so funny because we recorded that well before getting their letter claiming that my son hadn't done the muster drill. Why would four of us have done it and be checked off, but leave the 7-year-old out? That mess up was all on them... even Guest Services agreed, and told us to just enjoy our cruise. I'm hopeful that, the more they sail, the more they'll work out the kinks, and it'll be smooth sailing! Enjoy your cruise!

Wow,, interesting video! Your willingness to keep filming during this frustrating day, just to give us the "real" is definitely to be commended! Cause if I were going through something like that, I would have probably been soo frustrated and annoyed,, I wouldn't want to be filmed! So to bring the good memories up, about the trip at that dinner conversation, was great! 🥰 Well I have a few questions-Are you the type of person who rushes your dinner experience if you know others are waiting? What was in that gift at the dinner table? That sail away time was pretty strange,, was that the scheduled time or were they delayed because of the frenzy? Lastly,, I can't believe after all that your boys got hotdog and fries😅, couldn't you have sent them up to the windjammer? And at that point didn't you yourself want to abandon the reservations all together and head to the windjammer? Well Allan's scripture at the end, fit perfectly with this day! I appreciated this video, NOT because you had a hard day, but because it was real!! ❤❤

Tyrah, thanks for watching! We really wanted this to be a premiere so we could chat with you all as we watched together, but guess there was a scheduling mishap. Sigh. Yes, we were definitely frustrated, but guess that was part of the lesson and purpose … to show things are not always fun and smiles in the moment. Now, to answer your questions: (1) I think I could rush dinner if I know others are waiting, but I generally don’t… as a matter of fact, when vlogging, I’m usually last to finish eating because I’m usually the one recording and so I get started after everyone else… we’re all pretty used to that now. (2) The gift box was just a centerpiece filled with Christmas decor.🎄 (3) The sailaway time on our booking confirmation and even the paper itinerary they gave us on embarkation day said 9 PM, but somewhere along the way that evening, we saw an updated sailaway time of midnight, so I’m not sure when or why that changed. 🤷🏽‍♀ (4) Yes, Tyrah… when mi tell yu seh these boys are picky… dem picky. 😆 Yes, we could have gone to the buffet, but honestly, we usually do the buffet for breakfast and lunch, but we look forward to these sit-down dinners at the end of the long days. Honestly, I think we mostly upset by MSC’s foolishness that day more than anything else, and wanted to make sure they accommodated our family in the main dining room… plus, the buffet would’ve had us walking around even more to see what all was being offered, and not sure if seating would have been an issue because the ship seemed to be very packed… for the sit-down dinners, you have a designated table and don’t have to worry about all that. Most definitely the buffet was an option though. 💯 Thank you sooo much again for watching. Much love to you and your family! 🥰

And am I understanding correctly that the kids under 12 need their own separate muster drill? I guess I kinda get that since they could be in the kids club during an emergency but geeesh. Talk about inconvenient.

Sis, listen... this was A LOT! The kids can do the same drill by watching on the phone or TV and just going to get checked in at the muster station where they scan the room card, but the video said they're also to get a wristband for the muster station, and that was what no one there seemed to know about. Listen... prepping this video and watching it all over again... let's just say I gotta exhale... whew!

Unfortunately it is not better in Europe. We went on a cruise from sicily. Embarkation took over 4 hours. We had to wait for 2 hours in a run down building. The staff hardly spoke any English. So this point clearly needs improvment.
