I am really confused on one thing on this module set up, I’m trying to understand this manual mode thing I am supposed to install. I would like to manual shift my car from time to time, but I don’t know entirely what to do with certain wires for this. I’m having a hard time understanding why I can’t manual shift without these wires. If I can manual shift without these wires connected and making a switch, that would be cool because I don’t want to have to always hit a manual button to manual shift my car. Feel like it defeats the purpose of downshifting whenever I want. Can someone help me understand this.

I took my 2018 Ram Promaster city to a transmission shop to swap out the transmission with a low mile 2019 transmission I found. The shop included a $220 charge to reprogram the transmission which I felt was high. After the install they told me my TCM was bad and needed to be replaced (parts and labor) for an additional $525. The shop is now telling me the TCM needs to be programmed by the dealership for an added cost... How many kinds of programming do modern transmissions need and would the shop being doing any kind of programming if the dealer is flashing the TCM?

so this is a stand a lone System for the 460le trans and all it needs is some info and and a power source and it will shift the trans with no problems.

Msd you have tcm for 6 speed and 8 speed transmission

I can not review any data I have tried everything and no body told me I need a relay for revlaunch and too unplug my map sensor I don't run turbo so one of your guys told me to unplug cap vacuum off I'm very frustrated with the 6011 modular box for my 4.6 2v

What could be the problem if the Controller Screen doesn’t display? I plug it in to the MSD and nothing comes on. Truck running or key turned it on position and still nothing ?

Ok I have to comment on this because the MSD tech help line knows nothing about this unit. I have a 2760 and have struggled with it since day one back in March 2019. I put my unit in a 6,700lb 4x4 truck that also sometimes pulls trailers (3,000lb max.). When driving up an incline, naturally it will downshift out of OD and into 3rd. But what also happens is the torque converter also unlocks and causes even more slow-down (and not to mention slip). This is most annoying and I don't think the TCC is meant to be locked/unlocked every time the trans shifts in and out of OD. I think this unit would be fine for a Mustang or Camaro (re: lightweight car that never pulls any trailers) but for a heavy 3/4 ton truck and trailer it was a bad decision on my end. I will be replacing this unit with a Baumann/USShift unit that has complete control of all shift points and TCC lockup (for the same price too!). I should have also said that the OEM trans controller (at least for a truck) is designed to keep the TCC locked when in the higher gears. This MSD unit does not do that which is most annoying and nobody at MSD could tell me that when I was having trouble with it.
