Only pulling 3gs through that turn, not sure it would "snap necks" as you say. An individual without any kind of special training can withstand anywhere up to 2 - 5gs depending on said individuals fitness.

Fighter jets performance often limited by how much G-force the pilot could take and by removing the pilot as limitations, the aircraft could execute higher G-turns without fear of blacking out due to excessive G-force thus maintaining its performance and by using AI to control the plane, aircraft designer could make straight out of sci-fi looking fighter jets. Google up Ace Combat 7 for references. Although AI controlled fighter jets is still in their early development phases, it will be the future of Military Air Force

I recently tried my hand at sailplane (glider) flying. They accelerate (with the help of a winch) at 100km/h in 2-3 seconds, which is no joke. I can't image what a pilot in a Darkstar must feel when it takes off with all engines on full throttle.

Concorde could fly from London to New York in under 3 hours. It would be entirely possible to shorten that time with current level of technology. Our only limiting factor is cost. Perhaps in the future we will find a cheaper means of achieving supersonic flight.

@@roughgameflight8374 they have all kinds of sstos in kerbal that could do this. people take them to other planets too. what happens is you get it up there and set a trajectory then turn the engines off.. it takes about 9000 delta v to get to low earth orbit but for suborbital would be somewhat less..

The pitot tube doesn't work properly at the high altitude. You can check the Mach number at the bottom left. Please google the air speed. There are definitions of various air speeds. Thanks.

A weather balloon can reach the exosphere easily, before the pressure difference causes it to pop. A Darkstar going well below escape velocity can still make it to space as long as there is continued impetus. Problem is, the plane's fuel has no oxidizer, so it is still limited to atmospheric operations.

This is exactly not how you should fly darkstar. Follow the steps to get mach10 Climb FL80 Turn over nose at -30° Reached Mach 3 Turn Over Pull up nose 20° Turn on ScrumJet when Reached FL80. Enjoy Mach 10 speed. (12000KM/H)
