Yes I used this software since the ver 0.7 and now the developer came with a new version (0.14) with a new function added for AI aircraft. small software but very nice. I didn't have any problem with it as I use it on a mid-range PC.. (not a rocket pc yet :D) but still working fine. Thank you for the video which I learned some awesome features I didn't try before. NB: This records the position and state of your aircraft in the simulator and allows you to play back your flights or sections of them in the sim. It does not create video files. You will need a screen recorder for that.

I bought FCR and I have been suffering with CTDs with it but this awesome free tool, 0 CTDs and free! I am sure the developer will address the issues with the smoothness and things like that but really, highly recorded!

Looks great! Especially for freeware. Quick question. If I only want to record landings, is it possible to launch the .exe and hit record mid-flight like during an approach or do you have to launch and start recording at the beginning of the flight for it to work?

I noticed that it does not record you raising the gear .... So if I wanted footage for a video, I set the thing to record while I carry out my flight and then just stop the recording and save it. Then later, when I want to view the recording, I launch the Sim and load the saved recording and replay it - whilst capturing the footage using the video capture utility that I normally use while the replay is running? Is there a limit to how long it records for? I guess you also need to reposition the aircraft where you started from before replaying the file? Obviously, this is VERY useful for videos, if I can understand how to get the best from it. Very nice video - well done. Lee

It should record the gear. I'm not so sure what is happening in this video, but if you really have issue with gear, please let me know (best is via a GitHub issue). There is no hard limit, but if you have any performance issue on replaying long flight, please also let me know. You don't need to reposition before replaying, the tool will move the aircraft for you. However if your aircraft jumps to a place far away, scenery might take a while to load. You might want to press Pause and wait for all the scenery to load in and Resume.

No. It's not a video recorder. It allows flights to be replaced within the sim, which you can then record with a screen recorder if you wish.

You don't have to but you probably should. It'll teleport you to wherever you were so you can theoretically start anywhere, but then you'll be waiting for the scenery to load in after starting the replay.

It’s a fantastic tool but it has some issues with animations not recording. The main one being that it doesn’t show the gear being retracted. It kinda takes away from the realism of a perfect takeoff.

However, I noticed for some reason if the drone camera is too far away (like in this video) it won't show the animation. But if I reset the position of the camera close to the aircraft, the gear can be seen retracting.

I have to admit, I know nothing about how Xboxes work, but I don't THINK they can run exe files, so probably not. There's a new experimental replay tool built into the PC version of MSFS though, accessed through the settings menus. Might be worth checking if that's available on Xbox.

There's another one called SkyDolly, plus the built in one if you turn on developer mode. Can't vouch for either though as I haven't tried them.
