Just popped into seeing this you tube channel cause 52 years ago I was 17 and was just starting flying lessons at Lyd airport I think the instructor was a bloke called snoddy or sometime he had an e type jaguar ! Anyway I had just started the course an a week I got meningitis!! I was lucky they caught in those days but they out pay to flying - my parents had a second home at little stone on sea so we had the RHDR small light railway at the bottom of the garden -a had a lively time there but was fascinated by your flying simulator thingy -thank you brought back so many memories to a retired old person Chrs Malc uk 🇬🇧

Hi Filbert, thank you for showcasing the scenery and giving some constructive criticism! I just wanted to address a few points you mentioned in the stream: - the gate number ground signs at terminal D are modeled, and will show up in the next version, I simply forgot to enable them - I do not know why the tower is disappearing for some of you but I will gladly take a look and see if I can find the reason for it - I plan to include custom jetways at some point but this is a lot of work so this is why GSX jetways have to do the job for now - I will try to include more lighting in the landside and terminal interior, as it is indeed quite dark - I don´t know why some light orbs are floating around, but these are generated by MSFS and I haven´t found a way to exclude them yet - some buildings are taken from the msfs base package as I haven´t modeled them yet, which is why they might not seem as realistic I´m very thankful for your feedback as this really helps me improve the scenery further. Performance is pretty good for me even at terrain LOD 400, glad MK didn’t model the check-in area at Lisbon like they did at KLGA which had a performance frame rate drop for me because of that.

What if there is a flight plan discontinuity?

How do I turn on the EMER LIGHTS? For some reason I can’t find it.

The pushback being greyed out was a shocker to me. Its been 3 months since it dropped. I just got this plane today. Its unacceptable for $75 usd.

That was an excellent watch! A very entertaining and informative way to while away a Sunday evening. As was evident, a lot of time and effort went into making this, not helped because it was a pre-release build. I look forward to more of these tutorials.

ok, so what i do not understand is the following: You have an APU onboard that you can use to power up the plane, start the engines etc. Why would you wanna use ground power? Why not just use the APU? Sure, costs a bit of fuel, but tja.... PS: i ask this because i have seen people make videos that teach this same stuff as this video. And they first switch on the Ground power, do some stuff, then they start the APU, and then they continu, like with switching off ground connection, and lateron they switch off the apu. But i dont get why that has to be? If you can do everything on a ground connection, from programming to the starting of the engines, then you use that. You dont need to use the APU, right? I am missing something somewhere in my tiny little brain to make this make sense.

Nice to see the A321 in action! I still enjoy LatinVFR’s airports a lot despite their more recent focus on the Airbus planes and hope there won’t be issues with their LEMD in MSFS 2024, though I did uninstall their LEBL and installed MK’s one instead. Gonna check out LSGG too!

The 777 distance is probably more accurate since simbrief doesn't count sids/stars for distance calculations

I'm in VNAV and my plane has a SID clearance of 6000 feet, but I'm way past it and the plane just keeps still at 6000 feet instead of climbing to cruise altitude, how is that possible? Also when landing my plane doesnt start descending at all, I'm still at FL390 7nm away from my descent path and not doing anything...
