MSFS 2020 vs X-Plane 12 vs Real Life! Landing in Padang, Indonesia

Good day! Today, as always, we will see how different flight simulators perform in terms of graphics. We will see at the clouds, forests, mountains, airplane engines and spoilers. Graphics are essential, but physics are very important, too. So, we will take a short look at flight models. Buckle up, and let's perform a landing at a far airport of Padang in Indonesia.

Thanks for this video There are many ways on X-Plane 12 to improve the decor, some in freeware like AutoOrtho or Ortho4XP and recently X-Plane map Enhancement and of course paywares like Global Forests, both freeware and payware airports.. And suddenly given a much more realistic flight model on X-Plane 12 and a sometimes better setting, FS2020 becomes uninteresting with a photoshopped BingMap setting with freezes and lags such that it is no longer as interesting as 'Before. I don't see FS2024 doing better, and therefore MSFS is overtaken by a Challenger which is an engineering company and not a financial company having to satisfy shareholders rather than users. Long live Laminar Research and X-Plane!

I have to give Flight and planes to x plane and Microsoft gets scenery and textures, X plane just feels closer to real aircraft as far as flight characteristics!

The fact that the terrain is better in MSFS and aircraft level of detail better in XPLANE makes me feel so indecisive XD. Also, the second farthest spoilers on each wing on some 737s are not fully deployed in real life. However they will deploy to their maximum extension when the pilot applies roll/aileron input to make the plane roll faster.

Stop using that as an excuse. Xplane still looks like shit after all these years. Physics physics yeah yeah we all know. Austin is an engineer and owns an airplane. He studies these things. GAME still looks terrible though.

It's not an excuse it's a fact - Microsoft is a company of great proportions and therefore is more able to create nice products, X plane is far behind - I agree to your statement, but that does not exclude the fact that it does its job perfectly and that is simulate conditions.Both do it in their way, and yet again - yes x plane is technologically behind. I will also leave you with a PS - the way you start the disagreement feels like you object with something that cannot be objected - although in our case - it can. If both companies were of the same size we would prolably have the perfect storm, although the future is ahead and tides come as they go. And by the way physics is the law by which we all live, thereby we cannot proclaim that we do not care about it . Wish you a pleasant day - Graphically ;) and Physically ;) @@denziiey

No they have been improved. It simply means you are seeing textures on lower settings with XP12 and compare them to higher settings in XP11. Otherwise you must be doing something wrong,

flying with X- Plane 12 could be great, fine , but there are no vibrations of the aircraft's wings...the textures are also awful...you can make the simulator as close to real life and physics, but hello!, have you ever heard a word was said so; " The devil is hidden in details" ? it's not just finish here, also textures of buildings are awful...besides, why aircraft doesn't have any liveries of X-Plane 12?

The Zibo 737 has a very realistic wingflex. Look at the one from MSFS and how umrealistic it « vibrates ». That’s simply because MSFS-atmosphere model is inacurate (PMDG themselves admitted that) and the turbulences are overdone. Perhaps you should fly in a real 737 to realize that the wings don’t move the whole time, and even less like these strange « vibrations ».
